Marques De Vargas Hacienda Pradolagar 2016 is a Spanish red wine with a very precise Rioja identity. It comes from Hacienda Pradolagar near Logroño in Rioja Alta, and more specifically from La Victoria, a 6-hectare vineyard with vines averaging 40 years of age, planted on gravelly, limestone-rich soils.
The 2016 blend is 80% Tempranillo and 20% Mazuelo. The grapes were hand-harvested in small crates, cooled after picking and manually sorted before vinification. Fermentation was adapted to the different soil types, using native yeasts from the individual plots. The wine then spent 23 months in new French oak, with the choice of oak matched to the fruit character and tannin softness of the final blend.

Marqués de Vargas Reserva 2016 Magnum is rooted in Hacienda Pradolagar near Logroño, in Rioja Alta. The estate works with its own vineyards surrounding the winery, dividing them by soil, climate and grape variety. That estate-focused approach is central to the identity of this Reserva.
The 2016 vintage is built mainly on Tempranillo, with Garnacha and Mazuelo playing supporting roles. Tempranillo brings elegance, Garnacha adds a richer fruit expression and Mazuelo contributes freshness. The grapes were hand-picked, selected by parcel and fermented with native yeasts, followed by 22 months of ageing in French oak.

Marques De Vargas Reserva 2017 is a red Rioja Reserva from Spain, made from the estate's own vineyards around Hacienda Pradolagar near Logroño. It is the house's main Reserva cuvée, built around tempranillo, garnacha and mazuelo, with each variety contributing its part: elegance, density and freshness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Rioja we like to present when the vineyard story matters as much as the ageing. The Pradolagar vineyards are divided into micro-parcels according to soil, grape variety and viticultural potential, with poor clay-limestone soils, gravel and calcareous elements forming the foundation.

Marques De Vargas Seleccion Privada 2016 is a red Rioja from Rioja Alta, made from estate vineyards at Hacienda Pradolagar in Logroño. The fruit for this wine comes from three named plots: La Victoria, Manolo and La Garnacha. Together they cover 11 hectares, with vines averaging 40 years of age for this vintage.
Selection is at the heart of this release. The grapes were hand-harvested in small 12 kg crates, cooled overnight after picking and then sorted by hand. Tempranillo makes up 77% of the blend, supported by Garnacha and Mazuelo. Vinification was adapted to each plot and soil type, using native yeasts from the individual vineyard parcels.

Pazo de San Mauro Albariño 2022 is a dry white wine from Rías Baixas in Galicia, made entirely from Albariño. It comes from the historic Pazo de San Mauro estate in Salvaterra do Miño, Pontevedra, close to the Portuguese border and shaped by its position along the Miño river.
The character of the wine is closely tied to its vineyard. The grapes are sourced from Finca Pazo de San Mauro, a 20-hectare estate vineyard with vines averaging 35 years of age. Terraces, rounded stones, granite-rich soils and sandier sections nearer the river all contribute to a wine with freshness, aromatic lift and a saline, mineral edge.
