Opus One Overture Edition 2021 is a red wine from Oakville in Napa Valley, produced by Opus One as the estate's second wine. The notable point here is that 2021 was the first Overture released as a vintage wine. Earlier Overture releases were built as multi-year blends, while this edition focuses on the character of one growing season.Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. The fruit comes from Opus One's own estate vineyards, grown organically within the Oakville AVA. The wine saw 19 days of skin contact followed by 19.5 months in new French oak.
