Mondot de Château Troplong Mondot 2019 is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Bordeaux with its own clear identity alongside the estate's grand vin. It is not described as a conventional second wine made only from declassified lots; this vintage comes largely from its own set of parcels, giving Mondot a distinct limestone-driven character.Made from 100% Merlot, the grapes come from limestone-rich sites, including parcels on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion. The winemaking is designed to keep the emphasis on fruit purity, freshness and tension: a significant proportion was handled in tank, with the remainder raised in used barrels. There is no reliance on new oak as the main voice of the wine.

Château Troplong Mondot is a winery that is located on the distinctive limestone hills of Saint-Émilion, in the heart of Bordeaux, France. The estate has a history dating back to the 18th century and is particularly known for its vineyards, which benefit from a unique location on the highest points of the Saint-Émilion plateau. The name Troplong refers to the family who developed the estate in the 19th century, while Mondot refers to the original part of the property. Since 2006, it has been classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé B, a recognition within the classification system of Saint-Émilion.
