Château Suduiraut 2020 is the grand vin of this Sauternes estate in Preignac, Bordeaux, and carries the historic Premier Cru Classé status from the 1855 classification. In this 37.5 cl half-bottle, it is a particularly useful format for opening a serious sweet white wine without committing to a full bottle.The wine is made entirely from Sémillon grown on selected plots of the estate. Harvesting took place in four selective passes between mid-September and early November, beginning with passerillé grapes and later focusing on grapes affected by noble rot. That combination is central to the wine's identity: concentrated, sweet and generous, yet supported by freshness and structure.
Maturation took place in barriques for 16 to 20 months, with half new oak and half one-year-old barrels. Suduiraut is a renowned winery from the Sauternes region in Bordeaux, France, that has dedicated itself for centuries to the production of high-quality dessert wines. The estate, fully named Château Suduiraut, is located in the heart of Sauternes, close to the famous Château d´Yquem. The vineyards of Suduiraut cover approximately 92 hectares, where especially Sëmillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are cultivated.
