Blanc D'Aiguilhe 2020 presents the white side of Château d'Aiguilhe. The estate is based in Saint-Philippe-d'Aiguilhe on Bordeaux's right bank, yet this cuvée is separate from the red Château d'Aiguilhe from Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux. It is a dry Bordeaux Blanc made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc.For the 2020 vintage, the grapes were harvested in early September. Fermentation took place in stainless steel, followed by six months of ageing, mainly in tank with a smaller proportion in oak barrels. That choice keeps the focus on freshness, structure and the chalky, stony tension mentioned in the tasting notes, rather than on overt oak character.
