Echo de Lynch-Bages 2020 is the second wine of Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac, Bordeaux. It comes with a very clear left-bank identity: Cabernet Sauvignon structure, freshness and the more serious frame associated with Pauillac. The estate's grand vin is part of the 1855 Grand Cru Classé classification, and Echo belongs to that same château setting.The 2020 vintage also marks an important moment for the estate, as it was the first vintage produced in the new Lynch-Bages cellar. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, from estate vineyards planted on Garonne gravel soils. The grapes were hand-harvested and sorted in the vineyard, then the wine spent 12 months in French oak barriques that had held one previous vintage, giving the élevage a role without making new oak the main feature.
