Flavour notes
The colour is deep, with garnet reflections. Aromatically, the wine moves through macerated black fruit, blackberry, plum and forest berries, with dried flowers, liquorice, mint, menthol and black pepper adding detail. Tasting notes also mention smoke, truffle, sage, lavender and rosemary. On the palate, Domaine de Baron'Arques 2019 is dry, full-bodied and firmly structured. The tannins are described as dense yet elegant, with dark chocolate, stone fruit and a subtle stony note. The finish is long and silky, carrying peppery aromas through the aftertaste.

Product info about Domaine De Baron'arques 2019 Rouge
Domaine de Baron'Arques 2019 Rouge is the Grand Vin rouge from Domaine de Baronarques in Limoux, Languedoc. The estate is based in Saint-Polycarpe and belongs to the Rothschild family through Baron Philippe de Rothschild. That background gives the wine an intriguing position: it is not Bordeaux, yet it brings together Bordeaux varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah and Malbec in a clearly Limoux setting. The vineyards sit between Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, with the Pyrenees nearby. At around 250 to 350 metres above sea level, the sites benefit from altitude that helps moderate summer heat. Clay-limestone soils, hand harvesting, careful sorting, gravity transfer and 12 months in French oak barriques all point to a wine made with considerable precision.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present as a serious southern French red with a strong estate identity. The 2019 vintage brought a mild, dry winter, a cooler spring and a warm summer, followed by harvest from 22 September to 17 October. According to the estate, the grapes were picked at the desired ripeness and in good sanitary condition.
There is depth, structure and a clear sense of vintage here, supported by a blend that combines breadth with firmness. With the last bottles now remaining, this is a thoughtful choice for anyone interested in a carefully made red Limoux with stature and aromatic detail.
