Château Beauregard 2021 is the grand vin of the estate, from Pomerol on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The vineyard lies on the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau, on clay and gravel soils, and the 2021 blend is built around 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.This vintage is all about precision and freshness. The grapes were hand-harvested plot by plot, carefully selected several times and also optically sorted. In a year described by the producer in terms of freshness, complexity and elegance, that level of selection matters: it helps shape a wine with tension rather than sheer weight.
The wine was matured for 18 months, with part of the grand vin aged in new French oak barriques and part raised in terracotta jars. That combination supports the wine's structure while keeping the focus on ripe fruit, Cabernet Franc detail and the more lifted character of the 2021 vintage.
