Benjamin De Beauregard 2019 is the second wine of Château Beauregard in Pomerol. It carries the identity of the estate, but in a more approachable style than the château's first wine. The fruit comes from the estate itself, with a selection of parcels on sandier soils.
The 2019 vintage is described as a Merlot-led Bordeaux blend, supported by Cabernet Franc and a small share of Cabernet Sauvignon. In the cellar, the approach is deliberately measured: moderate extraction, a shorter maceration and around twelve months of ageing in barriques, with no more than 30% new oak. That keeps the emphasis on fruit, with the oak playing a supporting role rather than dominating the wine.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as an inviting way to explore (…)Chateau Beauregard 2020

Chateau Beauregard 2020

Château Beauregard 2020 is the grand vin of Château Beauregard, a Pomerol estate on the south-eastern edge of the plateau. The wine comes from organically farmed vineyards with vines averaging around 35 years of age, rooted in clay and gravel soils. Its blend of 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc gives the wine its ripe fruit depth, with the cabernet franc adding floral, herbal and fresh accents.
The 2020 vintage in Pomerol was early and dry, shaped by a warm summer and crucial mid-August storms. For Beauregard, the year brought ripe grapes, concentration and retained freshness. The winemaking was highly precise: manual and optical sorting, parcel-by-parcel vinification in a gravity-fed cellar, and 18 months of ageing in French oak barriques, about half of them (…)Chateau Beauregard 2020 Magnum (1,5l) Incl. The wine is made from 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc, grown on the estate at the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau. The 2020 vintage is certified organic, in line with Beauregard's vineyard approach.
The growing season was anything but simple: a very wet, mild winter and spring were followed by a dry summer and warm conditions as harvest approached. At Beauregard, this translated into a wine described by the estate as dense, complex and fresh. The grapes were picked by hand, carefully sorted, and vinified parcel by parcel in a gravity-fed cellar with concrete vats. Maturation lasted 18 months in French oak barriques, partly (…)Chateau Beauregard 2021

Château Beauregard 2021 is the grand vin of the estate, from Pomerol on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The vineyard lies on the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau, on clay and gravel soils, and the 2021 blend is built around 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.
This vintage is all about precision and freshness. The grapes were hand-harvested plot by plot, carefully selected several times and also optically sorted. In a year described by the producer in terms of freshness, complexity and elegance, that level of selection matters: it helps shape a wine with tension rather than sheer weight.
The wine was matured for 18 months, with part of the grand vin aged in new French oak barriques and part raised in terracotta jars. That combination supports the wine's (…)Chateau Beauregard 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Beauregard 2021 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux, offered here in a 37.5 cl half bottle. It is a thoughtful format for opening the estate's grand vin when a full bottle is more than you need, while still keeping the character of a serious Pomerol on the table.
The wine comes from Château Beauregard, on the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau. For the 2021 vintage, the blend is 70% merlot and 30% cabernet franc, grown on clay and gravel soils. The wine is certified organic under EU standards, and the harvest was carried out by hand, parcel by parcel.
The 2021 season was one for precision rather than excess. A mild, very wet winter, frost in early April and a cool summer were followed by a more favourable September. The estate describes (…)Chateau Beauregard 2021 Magnum (1,5l) Incl. Box

Chateau Beauregard 2021 in magnum is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux with a real sense of precision. This is the estate's grand vin, drawn from vineyards on the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau, where clay and gravel soils shape the wine's identity.
The 2021 blend is 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The château describes the vintage through freshness, complexity and elegance, which fits the growing season: a cooler, slower year, helped by a more favourable September. Grapes were hand-harvested parcel by parcel, carefully sorted and vinified separately.
The 18-month ageing combines new barriques with a portion raised in earthenware jars. That detail says a lot about the wine's direction: cedar, toast and chocolate notes from the oak, with fruit (…)Chateau Beauregard 2022

Chateau Beauregard 2022 is the grand vin of Château Beauregard in Pomerol, Bordeaux. It comes from a 17.5-hectare estate on the south-eastern edge of the Pomerol plateau, with clay and gravel soils, and is certified organic under EU standards.
The 2022 blend is 67% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. That Cabernet Sauvignon component is a notable detail: the available vintage information describes 2022 as the first year in which it became part of the grand vin. It was a warm, dry year with early ripening, yet the tasting descriptions still point to freshness and aromatic tension alongside the ripe fruit and concentration.
The winemaking was handled with considerable precision, from manual parcel-by-parcel harvesting and several sorting (…)Chateau Beauregard 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Beauregard 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Beauregard 2022 Demi is the half-bottle version of Château Beauregard's grand vin from Pomerol. The 37.5 cl format does not indicate a separate cuvée; it is the same dry red Pomerol, simply bottled in a smaller size for occasions where a full bottle is not needed.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by early ripening, heat and drought. Beauregard worked with careful parcel-by-parcel harvesting and selection, followed by vinification in a gravity-fed cellar with temperature-controlled concrete vats. The blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet franc and a small proportion of cabernet sauvignon; according to the technical sheet, 2022 was the first vintage in which estate-grown cabernet sauvignon was included in the grand vin.
