Château Beauregard 2022 Demi is the half-bottle version of Château Beauregard's grand vin from Pomerol. The 37.5 cl format does not indicate a separate cuvée; it is the same dry red Pomerol, simply bottled in a smaller size for occasions where a full bottle is not needed.The 2022 vintage was shaped by early ripening, heat and drought. Beauregard worked with careful parcel-by-parcel harvesting and selection, followed by vinification in a gravity-fed cellar with temperature-controlled concrete vats. The blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet franc and a small proportion of cabernet sauvignon; according to the technical sheet, 2022 was the first vintage in which estate-grown cabernet sauvignon was included in the grand vin.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like for customers who want the depth of Pomerol in a more measured format. The wine is certified organic under EU standards and spent 18 months ageing, partly in new French oak barriques. It has the presence for classic dishes such as côte de bœuf or coq au vin, but the demi-bottle also makes it very practical for a carefully chosen dinner for two.
