Pequeno Dilema 2023 is a Portuguese white wine from Symington, made in the Douro. Its character is closely tied to two high-altitude family vineyards in the Cima Corgo: Tapadinha, above the Rio Torto valley, and Chões, in the Rio Pinhão valley. In the warm Douro setting, that altitude is an important part of the wine's freshness and measured ripeness.The 2023 blend brings together Arinto, Viosinho, Códega do Larinho, Rabigato and a small proportion of Alvarinho. Fermentation begins in tank and continues in a combination of new and used barrels, followed by ten months on the lees in 500-litre French and Hungarian oak. The result is a white wine with more than simple freshness: there is structure, texture and a gentle sense of oak integration.
