Product info about Chateau Dauzac 2022 Magnum (1,5l)
Château Dauzac 2022 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Dauzac from Margaux, presented in a 1.5-litre bottle. The magnum is a bottle format rather than a separate cuvée, but it gives this Bordeaux a real sense of occasion, especially when opened for a table of wine drinkers.Dauzac is a 5th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, produced within the Margaux appellation at the estate in Labarde. The 2022 vintage is made from 63% cabernet sauvignon and 37% merlot, from deep gravel soils and vines averaging 35 to 40 years old. Harvesting was carried out by hand in small crates, with sorting before and after destemming.
The year itself was warm and dry, with an early growing season and lower yields due to water stress. Rain in August helped the grapes complete véraison, and the harvest took place from 5 to 26 September in very favourable conditions. The wine was aged for 15 months in French oak barriques, 75% new, with additional ageing in amphora. It was vinified in a gravity-flow cellar and is certified 100% vegan.

Château Dauzac is a French winery located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux region, specifically in the Margaux appellation. The wine estate, which dates back to the 18th century, is one of the historic classified growths from 1855 and is valued for its longstanding tradition of winemaking on high-quality vineyards, consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The estate covers about 49 hectares and operates with great attention to biodiversity and sustainable vineyard management. Château Dauzac is especially known for its wines with a classic Margaux style: elegant, balanced and with a refined structure. Depending on the vintage, the wines can vary in expression, but the red Bordeaux blends from this estate generally combine fruity notes with a firm backbone of ripe tannins. Due to its location near the river and the influence of the microclimate, the wines often develop well after some bottle aging. In addition to their Grand Vin, Château Dauzac also produces a second wine, meant to be enjoyed earlier, thus appealing to both connoisseurs and newcomers to Bordeaux.
