Chateau La Dominique 2022 is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé from Bordeaux, produced by Château La Dominique in the north-western part of Saint-Émilion, close to the edge of Pomerol. Its setting places it in a highly regarded part of the Right Bank, with vineyards rooted in limestone, gravel, sand and clay.The 2022 blend is driven by merlot, which makes up 88%, supported by cabernet franc and a small amount of cabernet sauvignon. A hot, dry growing season brought ripeness and concentration, while the tasting notes still point to freshness, structure and polished tannins. The grapes were hand-harvested in small crates, followed by 14 months of ageing with a significant proportion of barrels, alongside amphorae, plant-based polymer eggs and wine globes.
