Product info about Chateau Du Tertre 2022
Chateau du Tertre 2022 is a red Bordeaux from Margaux, produced at the estate in Arsac on Bordeaux's Left Bank. It is the grand vin of Chateau du Tertre, a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, built around cabernet sauvignon with cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot in support.The 2022 vintage shows the more serious side of Margaux: depth, structure and a clear sense of development ahead. The vineyard sits on gravelly croupes with Garonne gravel, glacial-origin sand and sandy-clay soils. In the warm, dry conditions of the vintage, those soils matter, bringing together drainage and useful water reserves.
Harvesting was carried out by hand. Fermentation took place in wooden, concrete and stainless-steel vats, with gentle extraction, traditional pumping over and around twenty days of maceration. The wine then spent 14 to 16 months in Bordeaux barrels, with 60% new oak, giving the wine shape and polish around its concentrated fruit.

Current tasting references describe a wine still in its youth, with recognised ageing potential and drinking windows generally beginning from 2027 or 2028 onwards.
