Fugue De Nenin 2022 is the second wine of Château Nenin in Pomerol, offered here in a striking 3-litre double magnum. That larger bottle size gives the wine a very different presence: it feels made for sharing, for a generous table, and for occasions where the bottle itself becomes part of the conversation.The 2022 blend is led by merlot with cabernet franc in support. Fugue de Nenin has been produced since the 1997 vintage as a more approachable reading of Château Nenin than the Grand Vin, drawing in part on clay-sandy terroirs and young vines from the Pomerol plateau. The emphasis is on roundness, suppleness and a silkier expression, without losing the sense of its Pomerol origin.
The growing season brought real contrasts, from frost risk in April to a warm, dry spring and a hot summer. Even so, the 2022 wines from Nenin are described with freshness and roundness rather than being dominated by the heat of the year. At Drankenshop Broekmans, that is what makes this bottle especially interesting: a serious Pomerol vintage in a large format, with a style that is less firmly structured than the estate's main wine.
As a double magnum, it has a natural place at a dinner table or in a cellar selection where format and origin matter. With only the last bottles remaining, availability is becoming part of its story as well.

About CH NENIN
Château Nenin is a winery from the Pomerol appellation, located on the right bank of Bordeaux in France. The estate belongs to the classic producers of this region, where mainly red wines are made with a dominant share of merlot, supplemented by cabernet franc and sometimes a small amount of cabernet sauvignon. Château Nenin has a history that dates back to the nineteenth century, with a distinctive feature being that it has long been owned by families closely connected to the region. Since 1997, the estate has been owned by the Delon family, who are also known for Château Leoville Las Cases in Saint-Julien. The vineyards of Château Nenin are situated on clay and gravel soils, conditions considered particularly suitable for the typical Pomerol grapes. The winery is known for an elegant style with a refined structure and ageing potential. In addition to the grand vin, this house also produces a second wine under the name Fugue de Nenin. In the international wine world, Château Nenin is regularly appreciated for its consistently high quality, though it does not belong to the most famous names of Pomerol such as Pëtrus or Le Pin. Still, enthusiasts value the wines of Château Nenin for their characteristic balance and reliability.
