Château Bellegrave 2022 Demi is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux in a half-bottle format of 37.5 cl. It is a useful size when you want the presence of a serious French red wine without opening a full bottle.The estate has been in the hands of the Bouldy family since 1951. For the 2022 vintage, the blend is 75% merlot and 25% cabernet franc, sourced from an 8.5-hectare property in the south-western part of Pomerol. The vineyard is farmed organically and controlled by Ecocert, with the reference FR-BIO-01.
Harvest took place by hand from 8 to 15 September 2022, with selective sorting. Ageing was carried out in a combination of new barrels, once-used and twice-used barrels, as well as terracotta and stoneware jars. That mix of vessels gives the wine a serious structure while keeping room for freshness and fruit expression.
