Blanc d'Aiguilhe 2022 shows the white-wine side of Château d'Aiguilhe in Bordeaux. This is a dry AOC Bordeaux Blanc, made as a separate white cuvée from the estate's red wines and produced from 100% Sauvignon Blanc.For the 2022 vintage, the grapes were harvested on 26 August. Fermentation took place in stainless steel, followed by six months of maturation, mainly in stainless steel with a smaller proportion in barriques. The oak influence is supporting rather than dominant, adding texture and roundness without taking over the wine.
The setting of Château d'Aiguilhe, on clay-limestone and clay-loam soils over limestone, fits the wine's fresh, chalky and mineral impression.
