Château Rauzan-Ségla 2022 Demi is the estate's grand vin from Margaux, bottled here in the 37.5 cl half-bottle format. Demi refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée, so this is the same wine in a more convenient format for occasions where a full bottle is not required.Rauzan-Ségla is a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, and the 2022 vintage is clearly built around cabernet sauvignon. The blend contains 72% cabernet sauvignon, 26% merlot and 2% petit verdot. Harvesting was carried out by grape variety and by vineyard zone, with particular precision in some merlot parcels where bunches from different exposures were harvested and vinified separately.
In the cellar, vinification took place parcel by parcel and intra-parcel in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, filled by gravity. Because 2022 was such a rich year, extraction and temperature control were carefully adapted, with shorter macerations and earlier stopping of extraction where needed. The wine then matured for 18 months, with 50% new barriques.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Margaux we value for its clear left-bank identity: serious cabernet structure, depth of fruit, floral detail and a mineral line. With only the last bottles remaining, this half-bottle has become a less common opportunity to follow an important Bordeaux vintage in a smaller format.

Château Rauzan-Ségla is a respected name within the Bordeaux region, specifically in the Margaux appellation of the Médoc. This French winery has a long history dating back to the 17th century, when Pierre de Rauzan laid the foundations of the current estate. Today, Rauzan-Ségla is part of the châteaux classified as Deuxième Grand Cru Classé in the famous 1855 classification, which marks a distinctive position within the wine world.
