Product info about La Mondotte 2022 Demi (37,5cl)
La Mondotte 2022 Demi is the half-bottle version of the same La Mondotte cuvée from Saint-Émilion. It is a dry red Bordeaux from La Mondotte, part of Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg, presented here in a practical 37.5 cl format for moments when opening a full bottle is not quite the right choice.The wine comes from a small vineyard of around 4.5 hectares east of Saint-Émilion, on a clay-limestone plateau with a rocky subsoil. The 2022 blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The producer notes an average vine age of about 60 years, and La Mondotte has been organically certified since 2014.
For this vintage, harvesting took place from 3 to 23 September 2022. Fermentation was carried out in wooden vats over 35 days, with extraction by pneumatic pigeage. The wine then matured for 16 months on the lees in oak barrels, 40% of them new, and partly in vats. It was bottled at the château on 18 June 2024 and, according to the official vintage information, was not fined.

About LA MONDOTTE
La Mondotte is a French winery located in the wine region of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux. The estate is known as a so-called Grand Cru, a designation that within the Saint-Émilion system indicates a specific quality rank. La Mondotte has a relatively small plot of about 4.5 hectares of vineyards and is therefore a typical garagiste, a term for small-scale, artisanal producers who often combine modern techniques with a strong focus on quality and expression of terroir. The vineyards are planted with merlot and cabernet franc, grape varieties typical for the region that together produce a rich, concentrated wine profile. Since the 1990s, the estate has been managed by Stephan von Neipperg, a well-known name in Bordeaux, who has given the winery an international reputation.
