La Mondotte 2015
On request only
La Mondotte 2015 is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from a very small and clearly defined vineyard. It belongs to Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg and, for this vintage, La Mondotte was designated Premier Grand Cru Classé B within the Saint-Émilion classification.
The wine is built around 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc from 4.5 hectares on the eastern plateau of Saint-Émilion, planted on clay-limestone soils. The producer indicates an average vine age of around 60 years. In 2015 the estate was organically certified, the grapes were harvested by hand, and yields were 34 hl/ha, all pointing to a wine shaped by a small, carefully worked site.
In the cellar, the wine was vinified in wooden vats with extraction by pneumatic pigeage, (…)La Mondotte 2021

La Mondotte 2021
On request only
La Mondotte 2021 is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from France's Bordeaux right bank. For this vintage it is designated 1er Grand Cru Classé B, sourced from a small vineyard near Saint-Émilion on clay-limestone soils, with old vines averaging around 60 years of age.
The 2021 vintage shows a more precise and fresh side of La Mondotte rather than a broad, opulent one. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, fermented in wooden vats for 28 days with pneumatic pigeage, then matured for 16 months on the lees in oak barrels, 50% of them new.
Certified organic under FR-BIO-10, bottled at the château in June 2023 and not fined, this is the kind of Bordeaux that fits naturally into the Drankenshop Broekmans selection for customers (…)La Mondotte 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

La Mondotte 2021 Demi is the 37.5 cl half-bottle format of La Mondotte's 2021 Saint-Emilion. The word Demi does not indicate a separate cuvée; it is the same wine in a smaller bottle, well suited to a more focused occasion or a table where a full bottle is simply too much.
The wine comes from AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru and from a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate of Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg. Its identity is closely tied to a small vineyard of around 4.5 hectares on the clay-limestone plateau east of Saint-Emilion. The vines are around 60 years old on average, and the vineyard is organically certified. For 2021, the blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.
After vinification in wooden vats, the wine spent 16 months on the lees in oak (…)La Mondotte 2021 Magnum (1,5l)

La Mondotte 2021 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
La Mondotte 2021 Magnum brings together the pedigree of Saint-Émilion and the presence of a 1.5 litre bottle. It is the magnum format of the same La Mondotte 2021 cuvée, from a small estate of around 4.5 hectares east of the town of Saint-Émilion. As a Premier Grand Cru Classé, it sits firmly among the serious wines of the appellation, while the 2021 vintage shows a fresher, more precise side rather than a broad, opulent one.
The blend is 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc, sourced from old vines with an average age of about 60 years. Its argilo-calcareous soils, with very silty clay over rock, help frame the chalky mineral impression mentioned in the tasting notes. The estate has been organically certified since 2014. For this vintage, (…)La Mondotte 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

La Mondotte 2022 Demi is the half-bottle version of the same La Mondotte cuvée from Saint-Émilion. It is a dry red Bordeaux from La Mondotte, part of Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg, presented here in a practical 37.5 cl format for moments when opening a full bottle is not quite the right choice.
The wine comes from a small vineyard of around 4.5 hectares east of Saint-Émilion, on a clay-limestone plateau with a rocky subsoil. The 2022 blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
