Donnachiara Greco Di Tufo 2021 is a dry white wine from Campania, made from 100% Greco within the Greco di Tufo DOCG appellation. Its origin lies in Irpinia, around Tufo in the province of Avellino, where clay and tuff-rich soils help shape the wine's firm, mineral-driven style.The winemaking is kept clean and stainless steel-focused, without an oak accent. The grapes are gently pressed, the must is cold-settled and fermentation takes place in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, keeping the emphasis on freshness, fruit definition and dry structure.
Donnachiara is based in Montefalcione and was founded in 2005 by the Petitto family, with a focus on local Irpinian grape varieties. In the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Italian white that stands out through tension rather than weight: ripe fruit, bright acidity and a clear mineral line.
The 2021 vintage also received strong recognition, including 92 points from James Suckling and 91 points from Wine Casual. With only the last bottles remaining, it is a fine moment to discover a distinctive Greco di Tufo from southern Italy.
