Mhoba American Oak Aged
Only 3 left in stock!
Mhoba American Oak Aged is a South African rum made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. That gives it a different starting point from many molasses-based rums, with the raw character of cane sitting closer to the heart of the spirit.
The American oak ageing is given an extra dimension through a whisky finish. With no age statement, the focus falls less on a number and more on style: fruit and spice are the main threads, supported by gentle wood influence, a light floral touch and a subtle vegetal edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to place in front of customers who want to explore how varied the category can be when cane juice, pot still distillation and cask influence come together. As these are the last bottles, (…)Port Mourant 2011 10y (Elizabeth Yard With Finishes)

Port Mourant 2011 10y (Elizabeth Yard With Finishes)
In stock
Port Mourant 2011 10y from Elizabeth Yard is a molasses-based rum from Guyana, pot still distilled and bottled as a ten-year-old release. Its appeal lies in the directness of the bottling: one single cask, presented at cask strength, with its 53.03% ABV giving the rum a firm and unfiltered presence.
Matured in a bourbon barrel and limited to just 140 bottles, this is not a broad house style or a blended interpretation. It is a close look at one individual cask, selected and bottled with its own profile intact.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy limited, characterful releases with a clear origin and a clear structure. With only the last bottles remaining, it feels very much like a defined snapshot of (…)Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 (Habitation Velier) Incl. Box

Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 (Habitation Velier) Incl. Box

Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 is a Guadeloupe rum with a very clear sense of origin. Part of the Habitation Velier range, it comes from a collaboration with the Papa Rouyo distillery, a microdistillery connected to the legacy of Charles Albert Ruscade, known as Papa Rouyo. His great-grandson and two master cane growers continue that story through a rum made from pure sugar cane juice.
The cane comes from two varieties, Canne Matos and Canne Rouge, grown on a 4-hectare plot. That gives this release a particularly focused identity: it is not just a rum from Guadeloupe, but a defined expression of cane, parcel and distillation. Distilled in 2022, it spent 1 year maturing in new French oak and cognac casks.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this bottle as one for drinkers (…)Monymusk Mmw 2015 6y Nectar (Habitation Velier)

Monymusk Mmw 2015 6y Nectar (Habitation Velier)

Monymusk MMW 2015 6y Nectar is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled by Velier as part of the Habitation Velier range. Its identity is very clear: pot still distillation, a defined vintage, a single cask origin and bottling at cask strength.
Distilled in 2015 and bottled in September 2021, it spent 6 years in a bourbon barrel. Only 215 bottles were drawn from that cask, and with the last bottles now available, it has the focused, finite nature that makes single cask rum so compelling. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of release we place in front of customers who want to explore rum in a more direct, cask-driven form.
At 60% ABV, it is presented with real intensity. The combination of Jamaican origin, pot still production, bourbon barrel maturation and (…)Lpch #3 50cl (Old Brothers)

Old Brothers Lpch #3 is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled at 47.8% in a 50 cl format. Rather than being built around an age statement, it puts the focus on style: pot still distillation, a multivintage composition and maturation in a bourbon barrel.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that stands out for drinkers looking for something with a clearly defined identity. With only the last bottles remaining, it has become a less common find, especially for those drawn to a rum where spice and fruit carry the expression without sweetness taking the lead.
The bourbon barrel influence stays in a supporting role, adding a light touch of wood while leaving room for the rum's own profile. Its main impression is spiced and fruity, with softer floral and (…)Worthy Park 2014 Single Cask Nec

Worthy Park 2014 Single Cask Nec is a Jamaican molasses rum with a very direct identity: one cask, bottled at cask strength, with a total outturn of just 288 bottles. Rather than presenting a broad blended style, it captures the character of a single bourbon barrel at a specific point in time.
Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2020, it carries an age of 6 years. The pot still production and 56% alcohol strength point to a rum with real presence, kept close to its cask-strength form rather than softened into a more standard release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to place in front of rum drinkers who enjoy detail: Jamaica, molasses, pot still distillation, bourbon barrel maturation and a genuinely limited single cask release all (…)Jamaica 13y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)

Cadenhead's Jamaica 13y is a molasses-based rum that places the focus on Jamaican origin, pot still distillation and the personality of a single cask. Matured for 13 years and bottled in August 2021 as part of Cadenhead's Original Collection, it has the kind of clearly defined identity that independent bottlings are often chosen for.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this release stands out because it comes from one Bourbon Barrel rather than a broader vatting. Bottled at 46%, it gives a more specific view of the cask and spirit, without turning the description into a purely technical exercise.

Jamaica 2014 DD The Nectar is a Jamaican molasses rum, pot still distilled and bottled at 44%. What makes it stand apart is the focused nature of the release: a single cask selection with a clear timeline, distilled in January 2014 and bottled in November 2021.
The Madeira finish adds an extra cask dimension, while the profile remains driven more by spice and fruit than by sweetness. Light wood influence, floral touches and a subtle vegetal edge sit in the background, giving the rum a more defined and less conventional shape.

Plantation Fiji 2017 Tasttoe & Drankenshop Broekmans is a small single cask release rather than a regular house style bottling. Only 150 bottles were drawn, giving this Fiji rum a very specific identity. It was distilled in 2017 from molasses, after a week-long fermentation, using a copper pot still.
The maturation adds much of the story here. The rum spent four years ageing tropically in bourbon casks, followed by six months of continental maturation in Ferrand casks and a further one and a half years in an Ironroot Republic Promethean bourbon cask. That sequence gives the bottling a layered background without taking away from its Fiji origin.
