Renegade Dunfermline Column 50

In stock

Renegade Dunfermline Column 50 is a Grenadian rum made from sugar cane juice rather than molasses. That matters, because it places the focus less on sweetness or wood influence and more on the spirit itself.

The name points to Dunfermline and to traditional column distillation, bottled at 50% ABV. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone curious about sugar cane juice rum with a clearer, less oak-led profile.

With 4,368 bottles produced and the last bottles now available, this release also has a more finite feel than a permanent house expression. It has found its audience among drinkers looking for rum with a specific origin and a distinct production identity.

French Antilles Grand Arome Origin (1423 Single Barrel Selection - Origins)

In stock

French Antilles Grand Arome Origin is a Martinique rum bottled by 1423 Rum World Class as part of the SBS Origins series. The emphasis here is clearly on place and style: French Antilles, Grand Arome, molasses rum, presented without an age statement and centred on its origin rather than a maturation claim.

It was distilled in a pot still and bottled at 57%, giving it a firm and serious presence. The supplied flavour profile points away from sweetness and wood, and more towards a spiced core with lighter floral, fruity and vegetal accents around it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottling we would introduce to someone looking for rum with a more defined, less polished profile. Only 1000 bottles were produced, and with the last bottles indicated, (…)

Renegade Single Farm Cuvee Nursery

Renegade Single Farm Cuvee Nursery is a Grenadian rum made from sugar cane juice, with its identity rooted in one specific place: Nursery Farm. The supplied information describes this farm as fertile and gently even in character, with a mix of sugar cane varieties shaping the basis of the cuvee.

The appeal here lies in the way Renegade connects land, cane and distilling craft. Pot still distillation and a strength of 46% give the rum presence, while the tasting notes point to a style that remains detailed, moving between oak, fruit, floral nuance and spice.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who are curious about cane juice rum and want to taste a more origin-driven side of the category. With the last bottles now (…)

Mhoba Select Reserve Glass Cask Incl. Box

In stock

Mhoba Select Reserve Glass Cask is a South African rum made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. Its interest lies less in a classic wood-led style and more in the direct, concentrated character of the spirit itself.

The Glass Cask name refers to the listed glass demi-john. In the supplied profile, oak is not the point of focus; spice stands out most clearly, supported by lighter floral, fruity and vegetal elements.

Bottled at 60% and at cask strength, this is a powerful Mhoba to approach with time and attention. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits in the selection as a distinctive choice for drinkers who want to explore South African sugar cane juice rum in a more uncompromising form. Amrut White (Habitation Velier)

On request only

Amrut White is an Indian white rum with a story that immediately stands out. It marks the first time Habitation Velier has bottled a white rum from the Amrut distillery, giving this limited edition a very specific place within the world of sugar cane juice rum.

Its identity starts close to the distillery itself. The pure sugar cane juice comes from a field next to Amrut, giving the rum a genuine field-to-bottle character. The connection with Amrut's better-known whisky production is also part of the appeal: the yeasts used for fermentation and the pot stills used for distillation are the same as those used for the distillery's renowned whiskies.

Bottled at cask strength at 62.8%, this is a white rum with real intensity and a very direct expression of its raw (…)

Renegade Etudes Old Bacolet

In stock

Renegade Etudes Old Bacolet is a sugar cane juice rum from Grenada's south coast, grown in an area sheltered from the strong Atlantic winds. The cane comes from land set between two small rivers, with rich alluvial soils and a high water table. That gives this rum a clear sense of origin: it is tied closely to one specific place rather than presented as a broad house style.

For this release, Renegade uses the fast-growing cane variety known as 'Lodger', harvested from Theo's field in the area called the Silk Cotton Tree. It is a detail worth noting, because it places the raw material at the heart of the story.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Old Bacolet as a rum for drinkers who are curious about cane, origin and distillation. Pot still distilled and bottled (…)

Bally Vo Pyramide Incl. Box

In stock

Bally Vo Pyramide from J. Bally is a Martinique rum rooted in sugar cane juice. That immediately places it in a drier, more cane-driven direction, away from a style built around sweetness and closer to vegetal freshness and subtle detail.

It is traditionally column distilled and matured in bourbon casks. The cask influence is not presented as heavy or dominant here; it sits alongside light touches of wood, spice, fruit, floral notes and vegetal character. At 45% alcohol, it has enough structure to carry those elements without turning the focus purely towards strength.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a thoughtful choice for anyone looking to explore Martinique rum through a bottle where origin, cane juice and restrained cask influence matter more than (…)

A1710 Diamond Rock

Only 2 left in stock!

A1710 Diamond Rock is a white sugar cane juice rum from Martinique, made from freshly pressed cane. The cane is pressed only once, a method used here to capture the cleanest and purest part of the juice. That gives the rum a direct, raw-material-driven identity rather than a soft, wood-influenced one.

At 50.5% ABV, Diamond Rock has real presence. Traditional column distillation and the absence of ageing keep the focus firmly on the cane, with mineral, vegetal and spicy accents shaping the style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a white rum for people who want more than neutrality: it speaks clearly of fresh sugar cane.

The name Diamond Rock feels fitting for a rum described with sharpness, clarity and power. It is white rum with a clean edge, built (…)

A1710 Blanc Bete A Feu

In stock

A1710 Blanc Bete A Feu is a white rum from Martinique made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice. With no age statement and no wood influence, it keeps the focus firmly on the raw material itself: cane in a clear, direct and expressive form.

At A1710, it is distilled in a copper alembic fitted with a 7-plate column, then slowly reduced to 50.9%. That strength gives the rum real presence, while keeping its floral, vegetal and gently spiced side in view.

For Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of white rum that stands out because it does not try to hide behind sweetness or oak. It is all about cane juice, distillation and the mineral freshness that gives it its own identity.

The aroma opens on crushed ripe sugarcane, with flowers and ripe (…)

Grogue (Old Brothers)

On request only

Old Brothers Grogue is a Cape Verdean rum made from sugar cane juice, placing the raw material very much at the centre of the spirit. Distilled in 2019 on a pot still, it comes across as a release built around origin, cane character and a direct style rather than an age statement.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that stands out because it brings together a distinctive source, a relatively small outturn and a clear sense of style. With 492 bottles produced and only the last bottles remaining, it has become a more limited find in the selection.

Its profile leans toward fruit, supported by lighter floral, spicy and vegetal touches. Wood and overt sweetness are not the main focus here, so the emphasis stays close to the sugar cane juice base and (…)

Renegade Single Farm Cuvee Lake Antoine

In stock

Renegade Single Farm Cuvee Lake Antoine is a Grenadian rum with a strong sense of place. It is built around sugar cane from the volcanic slopes near Lake Antoine, where the windy upper levels and the richer, water-fed lower ground each bring their own nuance to the cane.

The production story combines the weight of pot still distillation with the elegance of batch-column distillation, as described in the product information. Maturation in French and American oak adds structure without taking the focus away from the cane and the farm behind it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who are curious about origin and agricultural character in spirits. Bottled at 46%, it has enough presence to carry its flavours clearly, (…)

Fiji 2004 18y (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

In stock

Fiji 2004 18y from 1423 Rum World Class is the kind of rum where the details matter because they all point in the same direction: one vintage, one cask, one concentrated release. Distilled in 2004 and bottled in August 2022, this molasses rum spent 18 years in a Bourbon Barrel.

The small scale is part of its appeal. As a single cask bottling at cask strength, with only 210 bottles drawn, it represents a very specific slice of maturation rather than a broad house blend. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for that directness: they let a single barrel do the talking.

Pot still style distillation and a strength of 68.3% give this rum a firm presence. Its profile is led by spice, supported by lighter notes in the fruity, woody, floral and (…)

Mhoba Select White (Habitation Velier)

Mhoba Select White Hab is a white rum with a very clear identity. For the first time, Habitation Velier has released a white rum from the Mhoba distillery in South Africa, putting the focus firmly on pure sugar cane juice, fermentation and pot still distillation.

It is made from juice of the local N49 cane variety from the Mpumalanga valley. After wild open-air fermentation, the rum is distilled in artisanal pot stills and bottled at 66.2%. That strength is part of its personality: it carries an aromatic profile with fermented notes, ripe fruit, spice and a lightly vegetal edge, without any wood influence taking the spotlight.

The details matter here because they all point in the same direction: pot still distillation, a wine finish and bottling at cask strength. At 53.53% ABV, the rum keeps close to the strength and personality of the individual cask, instead of being shaped into a softer standard bottling.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Elizabeth Yard releases like this are selected for customers who enjoy small-batch rum with a clear cask identity. Only 100 bottles were drawn from this cask, and with the last bottles now in focus, it is very much a (…)

Dillon Vo

Dillon Vo is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice, giving it a profile that stays close to the cane rather than leaning into a heavy molasses-driven style. Its centre of gravity is fruity, with lighter floral and vegetal touches adding freshness and definition.

Traditional column distillation gives the rum a clear, direct frame, while bourbon cask influence brings a measured layer of wood and spice. The cask does not appear to push the rum into an overly sweet direction; it supports the structure and leaves the fruit-led character in focus.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Dillon Vo as an approachable way to explore sugar cane juice rum from Martinique without losing the distinctive identity of the style. Bottled at 43%, it has enough strength to carry (…)

Monymusk 1998 27y Tb is a Jamaican rum with real presence. Distilled in 1998 and aged for 27 years, it reflects the bold, aromatic side of old Jamaican distillates. The MMW mark points to a highly expressive style, with the intense high-ester profile highlighted in the product information.

Thompson Brothers bottled it at natural cask strength, 60.1%, without chill filtration or added colouring. Its long maturation in a refill bourbon barrel allows the spirit to remain firmly in the foreground, bringing together fermentative notes, ripe fruit, spice and solvent-like aromas with the added depth of age.

With 6076 bottles released, it remains a limited batch rather than a large-scale expression. Hampden Lrok 2013 13y (Nobilis Rum) Incl. Box

Hampden LROK 2013 13y is a Jamaican rum with a very clear sense of place and style. Bottled by Nobilis Rum as Nobilis #56 Jamaica HD 2013, it comes from Hampden Distillery and carries the LROK mark. Pot still distillation and a high ester profile set the direction: expressive tropical fruit, strength and concentration rather than a polished, softened style.

All maturation took place continentally, but this particular cask stands out because of its low fill level and high angel's share. That detail matters, as it made the rum even more concentrated than a typical LROK. Bottled from a single cask at natural cask strength, 65.0%, it keeps that full intensity intact.

Only 104 bottles were released, and with the last bottles now in view, this rum has a special (…)
