Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard (Elizabeth Yard Single Cask)
In stock
Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard is a molasses rum with a very clearly defined identity. Distilled in Fiji in 2004 and bottled in 2022, it spent 17 years maturing before being released by Elizabeth Yard as part of its single cask range. It comes from one hogshead and was bottled at cask strength, at 52.7% ABV.
The appeal here lies in the precision of the release. One cask, only 250 bottles, and now marked as last bottles. Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy limited bottlings with a clear sense of origin and maturation rather than a broad, blended style.
The rum was produced using pot still and column distillation, giving it an additional point of interest for anyone exploring Fiji rum in more detail. (…)Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary

Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary

Malecon 1992 30y 30th Anniversary is a Cuban molasses rum, distilled in 1992 and aged for thirty years. That long span of maturation sets the tone straight away: this is a mature rum shaped by time, with wood influence playing a clear role alongside a developed fruity side.
Its bourbon barrel maturation supports a style that feels more composed than exuberant. The profile points to noticeable wood and fruit, with lighter touches of spice and floral character in the background. Multicolumn distillation adds to the sense of a controlled, polished rum rather than a heavy or rustic one.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy older rum with a calm, grown-up presence. The 30th Anniversary name gives it a commemorative feel, but the (…)Belize 2006 15y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Belize 2006 15y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Belize 2006 15y from Daily Dram is a molasses rum with a very focused identity: one single cask, 15 years of age and just 222 bottles. Distilled in Belize in 2006 and bottled in May 2021 by The Nectar, it sits firmly within the Daily Dram style of small-scale, characterful bottlings.
The Bourbon Barrel maturation gives the rum a clear wood influence, while the profile also points towards a distinct fruity side. Bottled at 52%, it has a more concentrated presence than a lighter everyday rum, and the traditional column distillation keeps the story tied closely to its origin and production style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for customers who are looking for something more specific than a standard release: a Belize single cask with fruit, wood (…)Foursquare 2005 Velier 1,5l (Velier Elliott Erwitt)

Foursquare 2005 Velier 1,5l (Velier Elliott Erwitt)
Very last one in stock!
Foursquare 2005 Velier 1.5l is a Barbados molasses rum with immediate presence, partly because of its magnum format and partly because of the names behind it. Bottled by Velier as part of the Elliott Erwitt series, it was distilled in 2005, aged for 16 years, and made using both pot still and column distillation.
Maturation in bourbon barrel and bottling at cask strength give this release a firm, uncompromising profile. At 61% alcohol, it is a powerful rum, with wood influence and fruit standing clearly at the centre, supported by lighter spicy and floral touches.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out through the combination of Foursquare, Velier, the 1.5-litre format and a limited outturn of 600 bottles. With the last bottles now indicated and the (…)Malecon 1993 Esplendida

Malecon 1993 Esplendida is a Cuban molasses rum built around the 1993 distillation year. That date gives the bottle a clear point of identity: this is not presented as a generic rum, but as a release tied to a specific moment of production.
It was distilled in a multicolumn style and associated with Bourbon Barrel maturation. The supplied flavour profile points towards fruit and wood as the main impressions, supported more gently by spice, floral touches and a modest sweetness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone looking for a Cuban bottle with a stated distillation year, a recognisable cask influence and a classic 40% strength.
The flavour profile is led by fruit and wood, giving the rum its main (…)Jamaica & Trinidad 5y+7y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Jamaica & Trinidad 5y+7y from Daily Dram is a molasses rum with a direct, assertive presence. Bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, it brings Jamaica and Trinidad together in a small release that feels very much aimed at drinkers who enjoy independent rum bottlings with a clear cask-driven identity.
There is plenty here to set the tone: pot still and column distillation, maturation in a bourbon barrel, a 5y+7y age indication and a multivintage composition. Bottled at cask strength at 70%, it presents the rum in a powerful form, without softening the message of the cask.
Within the Drankenshop Broekmans selection, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone looking for rum beyond the rounder, more polished styles. With only 200 (…)New Grove 3y Oak Aged Mini

New Grove 3y Oak Aged Mini is a compact introduction to Mauritian molasses rum. Made by New Grove, aged for three years in bourbon barrels and bottled at 40%, it presents a fruit-led style with gentle notes of wood, spice and a light floral touch supporting the profile.
The bourbon barrel ageing gives it a clear step beyond unaged rum, while keeping the wood influence moderate rather than dominant. Its traditional column distillation points towards a clean and approachable style, shaped by both its molasses base and its time in oak.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like miniature releases like this because they make discovery easy: a small-format way to explore New Grove and rum from Mauritius without committing to a full bottle. With only the last bottles (…)Dictador 79 Aurum Incl. Box

Dictador 79 Aurum is a Colombian rum with a profile built around sugar cane honey and pot still distillation. The available information does not place it behind an age statement, so the focus sits more naturally on its style, origin and maturation rather than on a number on the label.
Bourbon barrel ageing gives this rum a clear wooden thread, with fruit also playing an important role. Floral, spiced and gently sweet elements appear in a more supporting way. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would present this as a rum for someone who enjoys a composed, wood-accented style rather than a bottle driven purely by sweetness.
Bottled at 40%, Dictador 79 Aurum remains approachable in strength while still carrying the interest of Colombian provenance, pot still (…)Depaz Port Cask Finish Incl. Box

Distilled in 2009 and aged for 12 years, it was bottled at cask strength at 60.4%. Together with traditional column distillation, that makes this a firm, expressive rum rather than a softened or easy-drinking style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Merser Reserve Rum as the kind of bottle that works well neat or over ice. Its gentle sweetness, oak influence and light spice make it a calm, enjoyable rum without pushing into an overly heavy style.

Planteray Guatemala Belize brings together rums from Guatemala and Belize in a fresh Central American blend. Made in a multicolumn style, it shows a fruit-led side of rum with the polished Planteray approach that sits very naturally in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.
The maturation gives this rum much of its shape. It begins in ex-bourbon casks before travelling to south-west France for Planteray's characteristic double ageing in ex-Ferrand casks. That cognac finish adds a gentle layer of depth and wood influence, while keeping the fruity core clearly in view.
What stands out is the combination of plum, dried fruit and a subtle touch of oak, supported by honeyed, vanilla and caramel notes. It is not presented as a heavy style, but as a refined, lightly (…)Diplomatico Vintage 2007
