Monymusk 2015 7y (Habitation Velier) Incl. Box

Monymusk 2015 7y is a Jamaican molasses rum from Velier, made in a pot still style. It is a rum with a firm identity: expressive, direct and clearly built around the more powerful side of Jamaican rum rather than sweetness or heavy oak influence.
Aged for 7 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 59% cask strength, it keeps a strong sense of intensity. The supplied profile points to fruit and spice as the main drivers, with lighter floral and vegetal accents adding extra definition.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy a more characterful Jamaican style and want a compact, focused 2015 release with the energy of pot still production still very much present.
The flavour profile is forceful and clearly led by (…)New Grove 8y Whisky Finish Rozelieures

New Grove 8y Whisky Finish Rozelieures

New Grove 8y Whisky Finish Rozelieures is a molasses-based rum from Mauritius with a clear whisky connection. Distilled in 2013 and aged for 8 years, it was finished in whisky casks, with Rozelieures referenced directly in the name. That finishing detail gives this release a different angle within the New Grove range.
The rum was produced in a multicolumn style and bottled at 46% alcohol. Its profile points mainly towards fruit and spice, supported by lighter floral and vegetal nuances. It is not presented as a rum driven by sweetness or heavy wood influence, which makes the whisky finish all the more intriguing.
Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottling stands out as a limited release: 1500 bottles were filled, and the remaining stock is (…)Ricci Divergence N°1 50cl (Famille Ricci)

Ricci Divergence N°1 is a rum with a deliberately unconventional feel. Famille Ricci presents a rare 55% blend built around Grogue Tarrafal Graciano 7596 and HPDN H. It is fully pot still distilled and made without additives, so the expression stays direct, firm and uncompromised.
What makes it particularly distinctive is its maturation in stainless steel vats and amphorae. Rather than leaning on wood influence, it keeps the focus on cane, fruit and a clearly present spiced dimension. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone interested in rum that steps away from the usual path.

Made from molasses and carrying no age statement, it keeps the focus firmly on the distillate rather than on a maturation story. The profile points towards a vivid mix of fruit and spice, with lighter floral and vegetal touches in the background, while wood and sweetness do not define the style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we place in front of customers who are specifically looking for Jamaican intensity at higher strength. Its identity comes from a deliberately distinctive approach. No additions are mentioned, and the rum is carefully matured in stainless steel vats and amphorae. That keeps the focus close to the spirit itself: fruit-driven and spicy, with a light floral and vegetal edge in the background.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to curious tasters rather than to someone looking only for sweetness or heavy wood. Divergence N°2 is about texture, tension and discovery, with ripe fruit, (…)Renegade Nursery

Expected: 22/11/2026Smith & Cross Navy Strength is a Jamaican molasses rum, pot still distilled and bottled at a robust 57%. That strength is not just a number on the label; it is part of the way this rum presents itself, with a firm and direct presence in the glass.
Its appeal lies in a style that does not lean on sweetness or heavy oak. The profile points clearly towards spice and fruit, with lighter floral and vegetal touches in the background. Although bourbon barrels are mentioned, the wood influence stays restrained, allowing the pot still character to remain central.

A1710 La Perle Fine is a Martinique rum made from fresh sugar cane juice and bottled at a substantial 67.5%. That strength is part of its identity: this is a concentrated rum, built around the intensity and clarity of the distillate rather than a soft, diluted style.
It is produced through double distillation of fresh cane juice, followed by a distinctive maturation process. The emphasis remains on cane, ripe white fruit, floral detail and spice, without the profile being driven by pronounced wood influence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, La Perle Fine sits comfortably among rums with a more expressive personality: powerful in strength, aromatic in style, yet described with a soft and creamy palate.

That makes the collection especially engaging as a side-by-side exploration: one Jamaican origin, one maturation period, eight distinct expressions.
Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, this Jamaican rum is bottled at 52% and at cask strength. The tropical climate of Jamaica gives the one-year maturation real presence, while the bourbon barrels add their own influence to a profile shaped by fruity, spiced and vegetal tones.

Its single pot still production and bottling in the Clairin style give it a fresh, vegetal and spicy profile, marked by smoky and roasted notes. Rather than leaning on oak influence, Le Rocher puts the distillate itself at the centre, with the raw aromatic side of the cane clearly in view.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy expressive, unconventional spirits. At 50% alcohol, it has enough strength to carry its spice and smoke, while still keeping that lively freshness.

Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 is a Guadeloupe rum with a very clear sense of origin. Part of the Habitation Velier range, it comes from a collaboration with the Papa Rouyo distillery, a microdistillery connected to the legacy of Charles Albert Ruscade, known as Papa Rouyo. His great-grandson and two master cane growers continue that story through a rum made from pure sugar cane juice.
The cane comes from two varieties, Canne Matos and Canne Rouge, grown on a 4-hectare plot. That gives this release a particularly focused identity: it is not just a rum from Guadeloupe, but a defined expression of cane, parcel and distillation. Distilled in 2022, it spent 1 year maturing in new French oak and cognac casks.
