Dictador 79 Aurum Incl. Box

In stock

Dictador 79 Aurum is a Colombian rum with a profile built around sugar cane honey and pot still distillation. The available information does not place it behind an age statement, so the focus sits more naturally on its style, origin and maturation rather than on a number on the label.

Bourbon barrel ageing gives this rum a clear wooden thread, with fruit also playing an important role. Floral, spiced and gently sweet elements appear in a more supporting way. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would present this as a rum for someone who enjoys a composed, wood-accented style rather than a bottle driven purely by sweetness.

Bottled at 40%, Dictador 79 Aurum remains approachable in strength while still carrying the interest of Colombian provenance, pot still (…)

Merser Reserve Rum

In stock

Merser Reserve Rum is a blend built around carefully selected rums, mainly from the Dominican Republic. Rather than relying on an age statement, it presents itself through its style: smooth, rounded and shaped by maturation in oak casks.

The appeal lies in the way the fruit and wood sit together. The blend includes rum from pot still and column distillation, giving it a broader feel while keeping the mouthfeel soft and approachable.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Merser Reserve Rum as the kind of bottle that works well neat or over ice. Its gentle sweetness, oak influence and light spice make it a calm, enjoyable rum without pushing into an overly heavy style.

The aroma is warm, with vanilla toffee and dried fruit, lifted by subtle spice and (…)

Diplomatico Vintage 2007

On request only

Diplomatico Vintage 2007 places a specific year at the heart of this Venezuelan molasses rum. Distilled in a traditional column style and finished in sherry casks, it brings together the character of the rum itself with an extra layer of cask influence.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out because it is more than a general expression of the brand. The 2007 vintage, the Venezuelan origin and the sherry finish all point towards a rum with a defined identity, where fruit and wood take a clear role without turning the presentation into something overly heavy.

With only the last bottles remaining, Diplomatico Vintage 2007 feels like a release for someone who enjoys tasting a particular dated edition rather than simply choosing a standard style. At 43%, (…)

Trinidad 18y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)

On request only

Cadenhead's Trinidad 18y is a molasses rum from Trinidad, released as part of the Original Collection. Bottled in August 2021 at 46%, it brings together an 18-year age statement, independent bottling and a clear sense of origin.

The key point here is the single cask nature of the release. Drawn from a Bourbon Barrel, it represents one individual cask rather than a broad house blend. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are valued because they give rum drinkers a more focused look at a particular maturation and style.

Its traditional column distillation and molasses base place it firmly within Trinidad rum, while the flavour profile points mainly towards fruit and wood, supported by lighter spice, floral and sweet tones. With only the last bottles (…)

Zafra 30y

Last one in stock!

Zafra 30y is a molasses-based rum from Panama, and its age statement is clearly the heart of the story. Thirty years of maturation give this rum a more settled, developed presence, with the influence of time and cask taking a central role.

Its bourbon barrel ageing supports a profile where fruit and wood are the main reference points. Spice, sweetness and a light floral touch sit more in the background, adding detail without taking over. The traditional column distillation also points to a classic style of rum making rather than a deliberately heavy or forceful presentation.

The bourbon cask maturation brings a clear woody dimension, yet the supplied profile also points to a notable fruity side. Malecon Rare Proof Vintage 2016

Not available for shipping

Malecon Rare Proof Vintage 2016 is a Cuban molasses-based rum made in the Spanish style and distilled entirely in columns. It has the clean, composed feel associated with that approach, but the maturation gives it enough depth to bring wood, fruit and gentle spice clearly into the picture.

Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2023, it spent at least seven years maturing in re-charred American oak barrels. That cask influence is part of its identity: toasted wood is present and recognisable, yet it does not push aside the fresher citrus and dried fruit notes.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of limited-production vintage rum we like to point out to customers who enjoy character without excessive weight. Bottled at 42.7%, and now down to the last bottles, (…)

The rum has been ageing since 2004 and was assembled from two carefully selected casks, with 960 bottles released. That gives this Inception a focused identity: a 21-year-old expression shaped by time, wood influence and ripe fruit, rather than a broad everyday bottling.

The rum brings together the natural aromas of sugar cane and exotic fruit with 6 to 8 years of maturation. French oak, American oak and former peated whisky casks all play a role, giving the spirit warmth, roundness and a subtle smoky dimension alongside its fruit-driven core.

New Grove Emotion 1969

Only 3 left in stock!

New Grove Emotion 1969 is a Mauritian rum with an immediate point of interest: the 1969 reference connects to the distillation year given for this release. That alone gives the bottle a very different feel from a standard everyday rum.

It is a blend, traditionally column distilled and matured in bourbon barrels. The available profile points towards a rum where wood influence and fruit are the main voices, supported more gently by spice, sweetness and a light floral touch. At 47% ABV, it carries a little extra weight without the product data presenting it as a single cask or cask strength release.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a distinctive New Grove for drinkers who want to explore rum from Mauritius with a clear origin, a striking year reference (…)

Beenleigh 2015 8y Mag 1,5l (Velier)

Very last one in stock!

Beenleigh 2015 8y Mag 1.5l is an Australian molasses rum with a strong sense of place. It comes from Beenleigh, a distillery founded in 1884 in Queensland, and is made from molasses sourced from Australia's last privately owned mill. That background gives the bottle a story before the glass is even poured.

The rum is distilled using both columns and pot stills, then aged for 8 years in bourbon barrels. At 60% and bottled at cask strength, it keeps a firm, direct character rather than smoothing away its natural intensity. The 1.5 litre magnum format adds to its distinctive presence, especially as these are the last bottles.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Velier bottling sits in the selection for drinkers who appreciate rum with origin, power and detail: (…)

Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard (Elizabeth Yard Single Cask)

In stock

Fiji 2004 17y Eli Yard is a molasses rum with a very clearly defined identity. Distilled in Fiji in 2004 and bottled in 2022, it spent 17 years maturing before being released by Elizabeth Yard as part of its single cask range. It comes from one hogshead and was bottled at cask strength, at 52.7% ABV.

The appeal here lies in the precision of the release. One cask, only 250 bottles, and now marked as last bottles. Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy limited bottlings with a clear sense of origin and maturation rather than a broad, blended style.

The rum was produced using pot still and column distillation, giving it an additional point of interest for anyone exploring Fiji rum in more detail. (…)

Dominican Republic 2013 10y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Dominican Republic 2013 10y is a sugar cane juice rum with a clearly defined origin and maturation story. Distilled at AFD in the Dominican Republic, it was selected by The Nectar for the Daily Dram range after 10 years of ageing in bourbon casks and a final Virgin Oak finish.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued for the way they show a specific cask rather than a broad house style. This is a single cask rum, bottled at cask strength, with only 341 bottles produced. That gives it a focused, small-batch character and a sense of directness in the glass.

Its appeal lies in the interplay between fruit, spice and noticeable oak. The Virgin Oak finish brings extra structure, while the rum remains tied to its cane juice origin and Dominican (…)

Patridom XO Cognac Tube Incl.

In stock

Patridom XO Cognac is a Dominican rum built around locally grown sugar cane and given an added layer through a Cognac cask finish. The Patridom range focuses on premium rums from the Dominican Republic, distilled in a multi-column still and matured in the country's tropical climate.

What gives this release its own direction is the second maturation. After its tropical ageing, it spent an additional period in selected casks in the continental climate of warehouse 1423 in Denmark. The result stays soft and gently sweet, but the fruit feels more developed, with light spice and a subtle touch of wood adding depth.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Patridom has a natural place among rums for drinkers who enjoy a rounded, fruit-led style with a little extra refinement (…)

Barcelo 11y (Elizabeth Yard With Finishes)

In stock

Barcelo 11y is a Dominican rum with a distinctly small-batch feel. Elizabeth Yard bottled it after 11 years of maturation at 51.15%, keeping it at cask strength rather than softening it down to a more standard drinking strength.

Its appeal lies in the fact that it comes from a single Bourbon Barrel, with only 92 bottles drawn from that cask. That gives this release a very specific identity: less a broad house expression, more a close look at one individual barrel. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value these kinds of bottlings because they show a more focused side of rum, shaped by one cask and one moment in maturation.

Traditionally column distilled, the rum leans most clearly toward fruit, supported by gentle wood, spice and sweetness. The 11 years of age, the (…)

Its bourbon barrel maturation supports a style that feels more composed than exuberant. The profile points to noticeable wood and fruit, with lighter touches of spice and floral character in the background. Multicolumn distillation adds to the sense of a controlled, polished rum rather than a heavy or rustic one.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy older rum with a calm, grown-up presence. The 30th Anniversary name gives it a commemorative feel, but the (…)

Malecon 8y Gran Reserva

Malecon 8y Gran Reserva is a Cuban molasses-based rum, aged for eight years and bottled at 40%. The Gran Reserva name points to a matured style, but the available profile suggests a rum where oak remains a supporting element rather than the main focus.

Its multicolumn distillation and bourbon cask maturation give it a composed, polished framework. The fruit side is the clearest part of the profile, while wood, spice, sweetness and a light floral touch sit more quietly around it.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this Malecon among the rums for customers looking for a well-aged Cuban style with a fruit-led character and measured cask influence. It is not a rum built on excess, but on a clean and approachable sense of balance.

Dictador Sinfonia Pardo 1999 Incl. Box

Dictador Sinfonia Pardo 1999 is a Colombian rum made from sugar cane syrup and distilled in 1999 in traditional columns. It belongs to a more specialised side of Dictador, where careful distillation and maturation are presented as part of the brand's wider heritage.

Dictador describes its Sinfonia and Libreto rums as rare special editions, created as collector pieces that reflect craftsmanship and refinement. Plantation Guyana 2008 15y Single Cask For Sits (Planteray - Plantation Single Cask)

On request only

Plantation Guyana 2008 15y Single Cask For Sits is a very focused Guyanese rum: one cask, one vintage, and just 300 bottles. Distilled from molasses at Diamond Distillery in 2008 and bottled in 2023, it carries 15 years of maturation in a style that feels deliberately bold and full of detail.

Its maturation path is especially important here. The rum first spent 2 years in tropical Bourbon casks, followed by 13 years in Ferrand casks. That long second stage connects closely with the Cognac Finish character and gives the rum a clear woody and spicy side, while the fruity notes remain an important part of the profile.

The use of both pot still and column distillation adds breadth to the spirit. Rather than a simple sweet rum, this is a robust molasses-based (…)
