Papalin 5y High Ester Overproof (Velier)

On request only

Papalin 5y High Ester Overproof is a Jamaican rum blend with a clearly outspoken style. Velier brings together rums from Worthy Park, Long Pond STCE and Hampden C<>H, bottled unreduced at 57%. That keeps the rum close to its natural strength and gives it a direct, energetic presence in the glass.

Its character is built on long fermentation, pot still distillation and high-ester components. Rather than a soft or polished rum, this is a bold Jamaican profile: aromatic, spicy and full of movement, with the complexity that comes from the production choices behind it.

Five years in American Oak add a measured wood influence, while the expressive distillates remain at the centre. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle that draws attention from (…)

Saint James Elegance 260th Anniversary Incl. Box

Last one in stock!

Saint James Elegance 260th Anniversary is a Martinique rum created to mark 260 years of Saint James history. Rather than presenting a single vintage, the house brings together six exceptional vintages selected by Marc Sassier, the brand's oenologist and production director. That makes this release feel very much like a crafted composition, shaped by experience and by a clear sense of house style.

Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a traditional column, it carries the earthy, vegetal side of its raw material while drawing structure from maturation in American and French oak casks. The wood and spice are clearly part of the story, supported by fruit and a gentle sweetness rather than dominated by them. At 43.5%, it has enough strength to carry that depth without (…)

Hampden 7y 2018 Hgmlms#3 (Velier)

Last one in stock!

Hampden 7y 2018 HGMLMS#3 is a Jamaican molasses rum with a firmly defined identity. Pot still distillation, 7 years of ageing and a bottling strength of 60% all point towards a rum with real drive, rather than a soft, easy-going style.

What makes this Velier release stand out is the tension between power and refinement. The HGML character is described as moving from fruity softness into a more controlled intensity, with spice and vegetal accents adding shape. The bourbon barrel maturation gives the rum its ageing frame without taking attention away from the distillate itself.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy focused Jamaican rum with a clear pot still backbone. The production of 1200 bottles adds to its specific nature: (…)

Mount Gay Cognac Cask Incl. Box

In stock

Mount Gay Cognac Cask is a Barbados rum with a clear sense of strength and presence. Bottled at 58% and presented at cask strength, it is not a rum built around restraint; it is made to show more weight and definition in the glass.

The rum is molasses-based and combines pot still and column distillation. That gives it an engaging contrast between structure and a more rounded side. The Cognac Cask name also sets this release apart within the Mount Gay range, giving it a more specific identity than a standard bottling.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would point out to someone looking beyond simple sweetness. Spice is the main thread here, supported by lighter touches of wood, fruit, gentle sweetness, and subtle floral and vegetal (…)

Crossfire Hurricane Reserve By The Rolling Stones Small Batch

In stock

Crossfire Hurricane Reserve By The Rolling Stones Small Batch is a Jamaican rum with a name that immediately sets the tone. Its connection to The Rolling Stones gives the bottle a very different personality from a more classically presented rum, bringing together spirit, origin and cultural reference in one label.

The Small Batch and Reserve wording gives it a selected feel, although the available product data does not provide further details on maturation or composition. At 40% alcohol, it sits in a familiar rum strength, with Jamaica as the clearest point of origin and identity.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone looking for a bottle with presence and a recognisable story. It is not just about the category; it is (…)

Planteray Australia 2016 10y Oceana Incl. Box

In stock

Planteray Australia 2016 10y Oceana is an Australian molasses-based rum from the Oceana Vintage Collection N°4. Distilled in 2016 after a fermentation of 2 to 3 days, it has spent 10 years maturing before being bottled at 52% ABV.

The maturation follows Planteray's double-ageing approach: 8 years of tropical ageing in bourbon casks, followed by 2 years of continental ageing in Ferrand casks, with a Cognac finish. That combination gives the rum a sense of depth while keeping its fruit, spice and floral side clearly in view.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for customers who enjoy a more expressive tasting style rather than a simple sweet profile. It brings together ripe fruit, soft confectionery notes, tropical flavours and a drier, more (…)

Dbm Rhum Tres Vieux Vo

In stock

DBM Rhum Très Vieux VO is produced by Distillerie Bonne Mère in Guadeloupe, a distillery founded in 1863 and described as one of the island's oldest still in operation. That background gives this rum a strong sense of origin, rooted in Guadeloupe tradition.

Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a traditional column, it spends at least three years in oak casks. The oak influence is refined rather than dominant, bringing gentle structure to a style built around tropical fruit, soft spice and a subtle touch of wood.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a fine introduction to Guadeloupe rum for drinkers who enjoy elegance over heaviness. With its 43% alcohol strength, it has enough presence to carry the flavour while keeping a smooth, (…)

Papalin 5y High Ester (Velier)

On request only

Papalin 5y High Ester is a Jamaican rum blend from Velier, built from three pot still rums. Created by Luca Gargano, it keeps the focus firmly on the raw material: sugarcane comes through clearly, supported by the vibrant, aromatic nature associated with this Jamaican blend.

Five years of ageing in a tropical climate gives the rum structure without pushing it into a heavy wood-driven style. The character leans into fruit, spice and vegetal notes, while sweetness and oak stay more in the background as supporting elements.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who want a blend with real personality rather than something overly polished. With only the last bottles remaining, it has become a particularly interesting (…)

Neisson Profil 62

Last one in stock!

Neisson Profil 62 belongs to the distillery's Profil range, created specifically for rum matured in wooden casks. In this release, harmony is the central idea: the cask influence, fresh cane notes, citrus, spice and vanilla are presented as parts of one coherent whole rather than separate features.

Made in Martinique and distilled in a traditional column still, this agricole rum is bottled at 49.2% alcohol. The producer also describes a bright play of yellow and green tones, a visual detail that fits the fresh, vibrant character suggested by the tasting notes.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Neisson Profil 62 stands out as a refined yet expressive agricole rum for drinkers who enjoy cane-driven rum with added depth from wood maturation. Its combination of lime, (…)

Guyana 2010 10y Nectar (Berry Bros - Berry's Own Selection)

In stock

Guyana 2010 10y Nectar is the kind of rum where the details matter because they all point in the same direction: one origin, one cask, one limited release. Distilled in 2010 and bottled in November 2020, this ten-year-old molasses rum was drawn from a single bourbon barrel, with only 264 bottles produced.

Berry's Own Selection presents it at cask strength, at 58.7%, so the rum keeps a firm connection to the cask rather than being shaped into a softer, standardised style. The pot still distillation style adds to the sense of a rum with presence and concentration.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy exploring limited independent rum selections, especially when the last bottles of a single cask release are all that remain.

Caroni Paradise 1994 #8 (Velier) Incl. Box

Only 3 left in stock!

Caroni Paradise 1994 #8 is built around the character of one individual cask. Bottled by Velier, this Trinidad molasses rum was distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2024 from a single bourbon barrel. Only 195 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now available, the sense of scarcity is part of its story.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, a release like this stands apart from broader rum bottlings. It is traditional column distilled, bottled at cask strength and presented at 58% alcohol, so the emphasis is clearly on intensity and direct cask character rather than softness or easy sweetness.

The profile points towards wood, spice and vegetal depth as the main pillars, with fruit, sweetness and floral notes playing a quieter supporting role. That makes this Caroni (…)

Hampden 7y 2018 Hgmlms #3 1,5l (Velier)

Last one in stock!

Hampden 7y 2018 HGMLMS #3 1.5l is a Jamaican molasses rum where power is clearly present, but kept in check by a more refined side. The HGML mark is described here as combining fruit-led softness with controlled strength, and at 60% ABV it is very much a rum to take your time with rather than rush.

Distilled in 2018 on a pot still and matured in a Bourbon Barrel, it carries the kind of structure suggested by its spice, wood and vegetal accents, while the fruit keeps the profile from becoming purely forceful. With 600 bottles released and presented in a 1.5-litre format, this #3 has a distinctive place in the rum range at Drankenshop Broekmans.

The aroma opens full and honeyed, with resinous depth and spicy notes. With a little air, fresher herbal aromas begin (…)

Jamaica Hampden C<>h Labelled As Hd 2018 6y (Nobilis Rum) Incl. Box

In stock

This Jamaican Hampden rum is very much about closeness to the cask. The C<>H Labelled As HD name, the 67.6% strength and the cask strength bottling all point to a rum presented in a direct, concentrated form rather than softened into a broader house style.

Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025 at 6 years old, it captures the development of one individual cask. That single cask origin matters here: this is not a vatting designed to smooth out variation, but a small release shaped by one specific parcel of rum. With only 187 bottles filled and the last bottles now available, it has a natural place at Drankenshop Broekmans among limited rum bottlings for drinkers who enjoy precise, small-scale selections.

Nicaragua 1999 25y (The Whisky Agency)

Nicaragua 1999 25y from The Whisky Agency is a rum built around precision rather than volume: Nicaraguan origin, one individual cask and 25 years of maturation. Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2024, it captures the character of a single bourbon barrel at a very specific point in its development.

Bottled at cask strength, 50.8%, it keeps a firm and direct presence. The supplied flavour profile points clearly towards spice as the main thread, with wood, fruit, sweetness and lighter floral and vegetal accents playing a more supporting role.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to place in front of customers who are curious about independent single cask releases rather than standard bottlings. With the last bottles now available, it has (…)

Barbados 2011 14y (Berry Bros Odyssey Range)

On request only

Berry Bros. & Rudd Barbados 2011 14y is an independent rum bottling from the Odyssey Range, sourced from Foursquare in Barbados. It was bottled as Cask #22 after 14 years of maturation, drawn at cask strength with an ABV of 60.2%.

The interest here lies in its very clear sense of origin and method. Made from molasses, distilled through a combination of pot and column stills, and matured in a bourbon barrel, it reflects the classical Barbados rum style described in the supplied information. Foursquare is presented as a fourth-generation family rum house led by Richard Seale, with a commitment to rum made without added sugar, colour or flavourings.

Hampden 1753 Incl. Box

Hampden 1753 is a clear introduction to the distinctive world of Jamaican rum from Hampden Estate. Made from molasses, it is a pure Jamaican single rum shaped by long fermentation with wild yeasts and distillation in copper pot stills. That process gives the rum its classic ester profile and its unmistakably expressive personality.

It spends 3 years maturing tropically in ex-bourbon barrels and is bottled at 46%. That strength gives the rum enough structure to carry its aromatic style, while keeping it approachable as a first step into Hampden's flavour universe.

Bally Art Deco N°3 Incl. Box

Temporarily sold out
Expected: 30/10/2026

Bally Art Deco N°3 is a J. Bally rum from Martinique, made in the sugar cane juice style. That already places it in a different register from many sweeter rum styles: the emphasis here sits more on structure, vegetal character and spice than on simple roundness.

Maturation in bourbon barrel adds a clear wood influence, supported by a spicy edge and a noticeable cane-driven, vegetal side. Fruit, sweetness and a light floral touch play a more supporting role, giving detail without softening the rum too much. At 45%, it has enough strength to carry that profile with confidence.

In the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone looking for a Martinique rum with a firmer, more aromatic personality.

COLLECTOR

Caroni Paradise 2000 #5 (Velier) Incl. Box

In stock

Caroni Paradise 2000 #5 is a Trinidad rum built around a very clear idea: one individual cask, long maturation and an uncompromising bottling strength. Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2023, this 23-year-old Velier release comes from a Bourbon Barrel and was bottled at 67.5%.

The appeal lies in its specificity. As a single cask rum, it is not shaped by blending different barrels into a broader house style; it captures the identity of one cask at one point in time. With only 243 bottles produced, that identity is necessarily limited.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are treated as more than just another aged rum. The cask strength presentation, the small outturn, the collector's item indication and the fact that these are the last bottles all point (…)

Takamaka 2018 3y (Habitation Velier)

Takamaka 2018 3y Hab brings a Seychelles sugar cane juice rum into the Habitation Velier range with a clear sense of origin. Distilled in a pot still, it points toward a more direct and expressive style, keeping the raw material close to the centre of the experience.

The 2018 reference and 3-year age statement place it among younger, forceful rums with a defined personality. French Oak maturation adds a measured wood influence, while the stated flavour profile gives more weight to spice and fruit, supported by lighter floral, sweet and vegetal touches.

At 60.8% alcohol, this is a cask strength release rather than a softened bottling. Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a compact and intense look at Takamaka through the lens of (…)

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle with rums that speak through maturity rather than sheer strength. At 40%, it remains measured in alcohol, while its profile points toward a noticeable wood and spice character, supported by lighter fruity, floral, sweet and vegetal touches.

With the last bottles now indicated, this is not a rum that will remain endlessly available in the selection. Additional information about the brand can be found at https://www.isautier.com/

Fiji 2014 10y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

In stock

Fiji 2014 10y from Daily Dram is a molasses-based rum from Fiji, distilled using both pot still and column still. That gives it a firm, expressive backbone: the pot still side brings the distinctive funky edge, while the overall impression remains direct and well defined.

It spent 10 years in bourbon barrels and was bottled at cask strength, at 56% alcohol. This is a rum with presence rather than polish for its own sake, showing a clear fruity and spicy direction with only a moderate wood influence in support.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Daily Dram release we like to highlight because it is so specific: one cask, one 2014 vintage, 285 bottles. With the last bottles now available, it has the feel of a limited snapshot rather than a standard (…)
