Fiji 2009 12y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

On request only

Fiji 2009 12y from Daily Dram is a molasses-based rum with a very direct sense of origin and cask identity. Distilled in 2009 on a pot still and bottled in September 2021 after 12 years of ageing, it presents Fiji rum through a single, clearly defined release.

The appeal here lies in its focused nature. One bourbon barrel, bottled at cask strength at 64.6%, produced just 285 bottles. With the last bottles now indicated, this Daily Dram selection from The Nectar feels like a precise snapshot rather than a broad house style.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who appreciate strength, individuality and a less sweet-driven profile. The flavour direction points towards spice, fruit and a pronounced vegetal side, with (…)

Hampden Hlcf + 2 Glasses

Only 2 left in stock!

Hampden HLCF + 2 Glasses combines a Jamaican rum from Hampden Estate with a gift presentation built around tasting. Made from molasses, distilled in a pot still and bottled at 60%, it speaks in a powerful register from the outset, with strength and character at the centre of the experience.

The HLCF indication gives this release a clear identity within the Hampden range. With Bourbon Barrel maturation and no age statement, the focus is less on a number and more on style, intensity and the personality of the distillate. The two included glasses make the pack feel especially suited to sharing, gifting or opening with proper attention.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for customers who are drawn to bold Jamaican pot still character rather than a (…)

Hampden 2019 Lrok (Habitation Velier)

In stock

Hampden 2019 LROK is a Jamaican molasses rum with a very clear identity. LROK stands for Light Rum Owen Kelly, and in this case refers to an ester level of 200 to 400 g/hL: aromatic and expressive, yet still measured within the unmistakable Hampden style.

Distilled in 2019 on a pot still, it spent 5 years maturing in a sherry butt. That maturation adds depth and maturity while keeping Hampden's typical empyreumatic side firmly present. The producer's information even draws a comparison with the complexity of certain Scotch single malts, which gives a good sense of the direction here: powerful rum with structure, not just raw intensity.

Bottled at cask strength at 60.5%, this is a concentrated release with plenty of presence. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits (…)

Jamaica Mmw 2010 12y (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

Only 3 left in stock!

Jamaica Mmw 2010 12y is a Jamaican molasses rum with a very focused identity. It was pot still distilled, matured for 12 years and bottled from a single bourbon barrel, so this is a rum shaped by one individual cask rather than by a broad blend.

Distilled in 2010 and bottled in August 2022, it comes at cask strength with an impressive 64.7% alcohol. Only 264 bottles were drawn from the cask, and these are now the last bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are selected for customers who enjoy rum with a clear origin, limited availability and a less polished, more concentrated presentation.

The profile is not built around sweetness. Spice, fruit and vegetal tones form the main lines, with wood and a light floral side sitting more quietly in the (…)

Hampden Hd 2019 5y (The Whisky Jury - For Tasttoe)

In stock

Hampden HD 2019 5y is a Jamaican rum with a very focused identity. Distilled in 2019 and bottled at 5 years old, it presents Hampden through a young, high-strength release rather than through a broadly available standard expression.

Its appeal lies largely in the bottling itself. The Whisky Jury selected and bottled this rum for TasTToe, with a total outturn of just 218 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are the kind we like to highlight for customers who enjoy independent bottlings with a clear sense of place and batch.

At 58.8% alcohol, this is a rum to approach with a little patience. It is also increasingly scarce, with only the last bottles of this small release still available.

No detailed tasting notes are provided for (…)

Mezan Guyana 2007 Single Cask (Mezan Single Cask)

In stock

Mezan Guyana 2007 Single Cask is a molasses-based rum with a very clear point of focus: one country of origin, one vintage and one individual cask. Distilled in Guyana in 2007 and bottled in 2020, it sits within Mezan's Single Cask range as a more defined alternative to a broader blend.

The rum was produced in pot still style and matured in a bourbon barrel. Bottled at cask strength, 56%, it keeps a firm presence in the glass. The supplied flavour profile points towards spice, fruit and a vegetal side, while wood and floral notes play a more supporting role.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to people who enjoy the specificity of single cask bottlings: not a general house style, but a particular cask captured at one moment. (…)

Jamaica 2021 Jamaica Wpe 4x20cl (Spanish, Danish, French And American Cask) (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

In stock

This Jamaica 2021 WPE set from 1423 is built around discovery rather than a single bottle experience. It brings together four 20 cl bottlings from Worthy Park Estate in Jamaica, all sharing the WPE mark, yet each drawn from a different virgin oak cask: Spanish, Danish, French and American.

That makes the gift pack particularly engaging to taste side by side. The rum is molasses-based, pot still distilled and bottled at cask strength, with an ABV of 62.45%. The ester level can reach up to 800 gr/hL AA, placing the focus firmly on a bold Jamaican style while allowing the different oak types to show their own influence.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a set for drinkers who enjoy comparison and detail: four closely related rums, four separate cask (…)

Hampden 2013 <H> 8y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Hampden 2013 8y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

On request only

Hampden 2013 <H> 8y is a Jamaican molasses rum with a very direct presentation. Distilled in 2013 on a pot still and bottled in April 2022, this Daily Dram release from The Nectar spent 8 years maturing before being bottled at cask strength: 64.4% ABV from a single bourbon barrel.

That single cask origin matters. This is not a broad, softened blend, but the voice of one individual cask. Within the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a powerful Jamaican release for drinkers who appreciate rum with clear origin, concentration and presence.

The flavour profile points towards pronounced fruit, spice and vegetal notes, supported by lighter floral and woody accents. Rather than presenting sweetness as the main theme, this bottling leans (…)

Hampden 2017 Hlcf Incl. Box

In stock

Hampden 2017 HLCF is a Jamaican molasses rum from Hampden Estate, distilled in 2017 in pot still style. Bottled at 60% alcohol, it has the direct, forceful presence one would expect from a rum built around intensity rather than softness.

The appeal here lies in the meeting of Jamaican origin, pot still distillation and maturation in a bourbon barrel. The cask gives a light woody frame, but the rum's profile is driven more by fruit, spice and a clearly vegetal side.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Hampden as a rum for drinkers who enjoy a more outspoken style. It is not presented as a gentle, sweet rum, but as a powerful and characterful bottling with a distinct Jamaican identity.

The flavour profile is forceful and direct, with fruit, (…)

Hampden Owh 2016 7y (Habitation Velier) Incl. Box

In stock

Hampden OWH 2016 7y is a Jamaican molasses rum from Velier's Habitation Velier range. It explores one of Hampden's eight marks: OWH, short for Outram Warmold Hussey, a name connected to the family that took over the distillery in 2009.

OWH is described as the lowest-ester mark among Hampden rums, so this bottling shows a particular side of the Trelawny distillery. It is still firmly Jamaican in personality, but the emphasis moves through fruit, spice, vegetal tones and empyreumatic notes rather than sheer ester impact alone.

Distilled in 2016 from molasses in a pot still and aged for 7 years in old bourbon barrels, it is bottled at cask strength at 60%. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy direct, unpolished character, with (…)

Mhoba American Oak Aged

Only 3 left in stock!

Mhoba American Oak Aged is a South African rum made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. That gives it a different starting point from many molasses-based rums, with the raw character of cane sitting closer to the heart of the spirit.

The American oak ageing is given an extra dimension through a whisky finish. With no age statement, the focus falls less on a number and more on style: fruit and spice are the main threads, supported by gentle wood influence, a light floral touch and a subtle vegetal edge.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to place in front of customers who want to explore how varied the category can be when cane juice, pot still distillation and cask influence come together. As these are the last bottles, (…)

Hampden 8 Marks 1 Year 8*20cl (La Maison & Velier)

Only 2 left in stock!

Hampden Estate 8 Marks 1 Year is built as a tasting collection rather than a single standard rum. The set contains eight 20 cl bottles, each showing the effect of one year of bourbon barrel maturation on a different mark from the distillery. That makes the collection especially engaging as a side-by-side exploration: one Jamaican origin, one maturation period, eight distinct expressions.

Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, this Jamaican rum is bottled at 52% and at cask strength. The tropical climate of Jamaica gives the one-year maturation real presence, while the bourbon barrels add their own influence to a profile shaped by fruity, spiced and vegetal tones.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a set for curious drinkers who enjoy comparing (…)

Port Mourant 2011 10y (Elizabeth Yard With Finishes)

In stock

Port Mourant 2011 10y from Elizabeth Yard is a molasses-based rum from Guyana, pot still distilled and bottled as a ten-year-old release. Its appeal lies in the directness of the bottling: one single cask, presented at cask strength, with its 53.03% ABV giving the rum a firm and unfiltered presence.

Matured in a bourbon barrel and limited to just 140 bottles, this is not a broad house style or a blended interpretation. It is a close look at one individual cask, selected and bottled with its own profile intact.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to drinkers who enjoy limited, characterful releases with a clear origin and a clear structure. With only the last bottles remaining, it feels very much like a defined snapshot of (…)

Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 (Habitation Velier) Incl. Box

In stock

Papa Rouyo 1y 2022 is a Guadeloupe rum with a very clear sense of origin. Part of the Habitation Velier range, it comes from a collaboration with the Papa Rouyo distillery, a microdistillery connected to the legacy of Charles Albert Ruscade, known as Papa Rouyo. His great-grandson and two master cane growers continue that story through a rum made from pure sugar cane juice.

The cane comes from two varieties, Canne Matos and Canne Rouge, grown on a 4-hectare plot. That gives this release a particularly focused identity: it is not just a rum from Guadeloupe, but a defined expression of cane, parcel and distillation. Distilled in 2022, it spent 1 year maturing in new French oak and cognac casks.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this bottle as one for drinkers (…)

Monymusk Mmw 2015 6y Nectar (Habitation Velier)

On request only

Monymusk MMW 2015 6y Nectar is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled by Velier as part of the Habitation Velier range. Its identity is very clear: pot still distillation, a defined vintage, a single cask origin and bottling at cask strength.

Distilled in 2015 and bottled in September 2021, it spent 6 years in a bourbon barrel. Only 215 bottles were drawn from that cask, and with the last bottles now available, it has the focused, finite nature that makes single cask rum so compelling. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of release we place in front of customers who want to explore rum in a more direct, cask-driven form.

At 60% ABV, it is presented with real intensity. The combination of Jamaican origin, pot still production, bourbon barrel maturation and (…)

Jamaica 2014 DD The Nectar is a Jamaican molasses rum, pot still distilled and bottled at 44%. What makes it stand apart is the focused nature of the release: a single cask selection with a clear timeline, distilled in January 2014 and bottled in November 2021.

The Madeira finish adds an extra cask dimension, while the profile remains driven more by spice and fruit than by sweetness. Light wood influence, floral touches and a subtle vegetal edge sit in the background, giving the rum a more defined and less conventional shape.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are appreciated for the way they show a specific cask rather than a broad house style. With this being a single cask and now down to the last bottles, it is a particularly focused Jamaican (…)

Hampden 2002 Hjf 50cl (Old Brothers)

In stock

Hampden 2002 Hjf by Old Brothers is a Jamaican molasses rum with a distinctly focused cask-driven identity. Distilled in 2002 on a pot still and bottled in September 2021, it spent 18 years maturing before release, giving it a more serious sense of development than a younger, simpler rum.

Its main appeal lies in the way it has been bottled. This is a single cask rum from one bourbon barrel, released at cask strength at 53.6%. Only 428 bottles were produced, and with the final bottles now involved, it has a naturally limited character. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of rum that speaks to customers who enjoy a very specific snapshot of Jamaican rum maturation.

The flavour profile is led by fruit, with clear support from wood and spice. Light (…)
