Privateer 2y Single Cask 699 Lmdw

In stock

Privateer 2y Single Cask 699 Lmdw is an American molasses rum with a very defined identity. Rather than presenting a broad blend, it comes from one individual cask, number 699, giving the bottle a clear sense of place within Privateer's production.

The supplied information describes it as 2 years and 8 months old, fully matured in new American white oak. Pot still and column distillation are both part of the production story, while the flavour direction points towards fruit and spice, with oak playing a supporting role rather than taking over.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see a rum like this as an appealing discovery for drinkers who enjoy precise, cask-driven releases. Bottled at 55.8% and now down to the last bottles, it has the feel of a compact, focused (…)

New Grove 8y Whisky Finish Rozelieures

On request only

New Grove 8y Whisky Finish Rozelieures is a molasses-based rum from Mauritius with a clear whisky connection. Distilled in 2013 and aged for 8 years, it was finished in whisky casks, with Rozelieures referenced directly in the name. That finishing detail gives this release a different angle within the New Grove range.

The rum was produced in a multicolumn style and bottled at 46% alcohol. Its profile points mainly towards fruit and spice, supported by lighter floral and vegetal nuances. It is not presented as a rum driven by sweetness or heavy wood influence, which makes the whisky finish all the more intriguing.

Ricci Divergence N°2 50cl (Famille Ricci)

Its identity comes from a deliberately distinctive approach. No additions are mentioned, and the rum is carefully matured in stainless steel vats and amphorae. That keeps the focus close to the spirit itself: fruit-driven and spicy, with a light floral and vegetal edge in the background.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to curious tasters rather than to someone looking only for sweetness or heavy wood. Divergence N°2 is about texture, tension and discovery, with ripe fruit, (…)

Mount Gay Madeira Cask

Ricci Divergence N°3 50cl (Famille Ricci)

Ricci Divergence N°3 is built around a meeting of two distinct rum components: 40% Port Mourant rum and 60% Grogue Tarrafal Graciano. Famille Ricci keeps the approach deliberately pure, with 100% pot still distillation and no additives, allowing the blend itself to do the talking.

Maturation in stainless steel vats and amphorae keeps the focus close to the spirit rather than pushing the rum into a heavily wooded style. There is no age statement here; the interest lies in the composition, the raw material expression and the way the different parts come together. Elizabeth Yard Sherry Cask

Elizabeth Yard Sherry Cask is a blended rum with a deliberately layered make-up. It brings together high ester pot still rum from Ghana, aromatic sugarcane juice from Vietnam and single estate molasses from the Philippines. Rather than focusing on a single origin or one narrow style, it builds its character from contrast: tropical fruit, depth and a warm, energetic edge.

Sherry cask maturation adds a darker, richer tone to that foundation. The rum moves towards spice, ripe fruit and a creamy sense of weight, while staying away from a simple sweet profile. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that is worth taking time with, because the blend itself is part of the pleasure.

7 Sins Rum Greed 50cl

7 Sins Rum Greed is a Belgian rum with a style that immediately feels a little different. It is made from molasses and sugar cane juice, and distilled using both pot still and column distillation. That combination gives it a broader identity than a rum built around one single production approach.

Fruit and spice are the main accents here, supported by a lighter sweetness. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this 50 cl bottle sits nicely among rums chosen for drinkers who enjoy discovering a less obvious Belgian take on the category.

Its second maturation is what gives this release its own identity. Selected Oloroso casks were used for an additional ageing period in the continental climate of warehouse 1423 in Denmark. That extra stage adds darker, more layered accents to the rum, with fruit and spice taking a more prominent role while the overall impression remains soft and sweet.
