Bowmore 1997 26y (The Whisky Agency)
Very last one in stock!
Bowmore 1997 26y is a Scottish single malt from Islay with a profile shaped first and foremost by time: distilled in 1997, aged for 26 years and bottled at 51.1%. Those details give the bottle a clear sense of maturity and make it feel like a whisky to approach slowly rather than casually.
Its Bourbon Barrel maturation provides the key production context, without needing to add flavour claims that are not supplied in the product data. What stands out here is the combination of Bowmore, Islay origin, long ageing and a bottling strength that still carries real presence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this among the more contemplative older single malts in the range. The fact that these are the last bottles adds to that sense of limited availability: a (…)Ardbeg 2013 8y Single Cask

Ardbeg 2013 8y Single Cask

Ardbeg 2013 8y Single Cask is a very focused Islay single malt: one cask, one maturation story and a limited outturn of 670 bottles. Distilled on 20 February 2013 and bottled on 9 September 2021, it captures Ardbeg at 8 years old through the lens of a single individual cask.
The whisky was matured in a Sherry Butt and bottled at cask strength, 60.9%, giving this release a direct and uncompromised presentation. Rather than blending several casks into a broader house style, this bottling keeps the attention on the specific cask from which it came.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are valued for their clear sense of origin and limited nature. The combination of single cask, cask strength, 670 bottles and the fact that these are the last bottles makes (…)Big Peat Feis Isle 2025 No Giftbox (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

Big Peat Feis Isle 2025 No Giftbox (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

Big Peat Feis Isle 2025 is a special Douglas Laing release created in honour of the annual Feis Isle festival on Islay. In the Big Peat range, this edition leans strongly into the island's identity: a blended malt made from Islay malts, with a profile built around peat smoke, sea air and a distinctly maritime feel.
The 2025 release is shaped by its 2010 vintage and maturation in refill hogshead casks. In this case, the cask choice is about preserving aromatic purity and intensity rather than pushing heavy oak to the front. That allows the smoky, salty side of the whisky to remain central, while gentle wood, spice and fruit notes sit in support.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for drinkers who enjoy Islay when it speaks with a coastal, smoky (…)Caol Ila 13y Gmp (Gordon & Mcphail) Tube Incl.

Caol Ila 13 Year Old by Gordon & MacPhail shows a welcoming side of Islay single malt without losing the island signature. It comes from the Discovery range, created as an accessible introduction to Gordon & MacPhail's single malt portfolio. Caol Ila itself is located on the north-eastern side of Islay, near Port Askaig, and that origin comes through in the whisky's gentle peat smoke and salty edge.
What makes this bottling stand out is the sweet, fruit-led expression of that Islay style. The bourbon cask maturation supports notes of vanilla, apricot jam and tropical fruit, while malt, lemon zest and soft smoke keep the whisky lively and unmistakably coastal. At 13 years old and bottled at 43%, it feels composed, clear and easy to understand without becoming (…)Enthralling Elegance 1993 30y 53.461 (Caol Ila) (Scotch Malt Whisky Society - Artist Collection) Tube Incl.

Enthralling Elegance 1993 30y 53.461 is a Scottish single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as part of the Artist Collection. It immediately presents itself as something more individual than a regular release: a 30-year-old single cask whisky, bottled at cask strength.
Distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2023, it spent three decades maturing before being released at 52.6% alcohol. The hogshead cask produced just 266 bottles, so this is a very specific snapshot of one cask rather than a whisky built from multiple components.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for precisely that reason. They give a close look at one mature Islay single malt in its own voice, with wood, spice, saltiness and peat forming the (…)Ian Macleod's As We Get It Islay Cask Strength

Ian Macleod's As We Get It Islay Cask Strength

Ian Macleod's As We Get It Islay Cask Strength is a direct, full-powered take on Islay single malt: peated, non-chill filtered and bottled at cask strength. Rather than leaning on an age statement, it puts the focus on the whisky as it comes from the cask.
At 60.4% ABV, this is a whisky with real weight behind it. The label's reference to the old British 107 proof measure suits the style well, underlining the robust nature of the bottling. Its Islay origin comes through in the smoky, peaty side of the whisky, supported by a clear salty edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone who enjoys Islay whisky in a more concentrated and less polished form. A drop or two of water is well worth considering, not to dilute the (…)Peat Reak 20y Highland Malt Bourbon "30 Years Blackadder" Incl. Box

Port Askaig 100 Proof marks the return of a much-loved classic to the permanent Port Askaig range. Bottled at 57.1%, it presents a strong, bourbon-matured Islay single malt with peat smoke, a salty edge and a clear sense of power in the glass.
First-fill bourbon casks shape the whisky with fresh citrus and sweeter notes, while the Islay peat remains firmly present. Produced in small batches, it has a direct, robust feel rather than the impression of a whisky polished into anonymity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Port Askaig as a strong choice within our selection of characterful Islay malts. It is bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring, keeping the presentation close to the whisky's natural style.

The refill bourbon cask keeps the whisky close to its distillate-driven core. Peat is the main voice here, with a clear salty and woody thread running alongside it. Spice, fruit and floral notes sit more in the background, giving support rather than taking over.

Talisker Parley Wilder Seas

Talisker Parley Wilder Seas is a limited-edition single malt from Skye that places the sea at the centre of the story. That connection is present in the whisky's salty, smoky character, but also in the collaboration behind the release: Talisker works with Parley For The Oceans to help protect marine nature areas for future generations.
Maturation in French oak XO cognac casks gives this Talisker an added fruit-driven depth. Soft plum, sweet raisin, sea salt and spicy smoke are the key impressions here, carried with good intensity at 48.6% alcohol. It remains recognisably maritime, while the cognac cask influence brings a richer fruit tone to the conversation.
The bottle itself is part of the same idea, made from 100% recycled glass and produced using biofuel. (…)Elements Of Islay Campfire Feis Isle 2025

Distilled in 2005 and bottled after 20 years by The Whisky Agency under the Milroy's for TWA label, this is a single cask release bottled at cask strength, 52.2%. That makes it feel less like a regular expression and more like a precise snapshot of one individual cask at maturity.

Islay Violets 33y is a Scottish single malt built around discretion, age and scarcity. The distillery remains undisclosed, so the bottle does not rely on a familiar name. Instead, it draws attention through its Islay origin, its 33 years of maturation and a Cognac cask finish.
That age statement gives the whisky a naturally contemplative feel. This is not a routine release, but a bottle where time and restraint are central to its appeal. The Cognac finish adds another point of interest, while the unnamed origin keeps the focus on the whisky rather than on the reputation of a distillery.

Smokehead Twisted Stout is an Islay single malt with a clear sense of direction: peat, salt and a beer-finished twist. It sits firmly in the Smokehead world, where the whisky is meant to feel bold rather than discreet, but this release adds another angle through its finish.
