Islay Mist Peated
In stock
Islay Mist Peated is a Scottish blended whisky with peat placed clearly at the centre of its identity. The name is quite direct, and so is the style: a smoky blend supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty touches.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this among the whiskies for drinkers looking for a peated Scottish blend rather than a whisky defined by age or heavy oak. No age statement is given, so the focus sits firmly on the flavour direction: approachable in strength, but unmistakably shaped by peat.
Bottled at 40%, Islay Mist Peated keeps to a classic drinking strength. Its character is not driven by pronounced wood influence, but by a peat-led profile with a few subtler layers around it.

Ardmore 2008 9y (Berry Bros - Berry's Own Selection)
On request only
Ardmore 2008 9y is a Highland single malt with a very clear sense of origin. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2018, it comes from a single refill barrel and was released by Berry Bros as part of Berry's Own Selection. Rather than presenting a broad house style, this bottling focuses on the personality of one individual cask.
Its cask strength of 54.6% gives the whisky a direct, concentrated feel. At the same time, the refill barrel suggests a restrained wood influence, allowing the peated Highland character and lighter supporting notes to remain at the centre.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of independent Scottish single malt we like for its clear cask identity and unpolished presentation. With only the last bottles remaining, it has become a more (…)Caol Ila 2013 7y Artist (Signatory - Artist Edition) Incl. Box

Caol Ila 2013 7y Artist is a young Islay single malt with a very direct personality. Bottled by Signatory for the Artist Edition, it brings together Caol Ila's peated island style, wine maturation and a cask strength bottling at 57.2%.
At 7 years old, the emphasis is on energy and clarity rather than heavy oak maturity. The profile points to peat as the main feature, with lighter touches of fruit, spice, florality and coastal saltiness around it. The wine cask maturation adds another dimension, while the wood itself does not appear to dominate the whisky's character.
In the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle that speaks to drinkers who enjoy independent Islay releases with a more pronounced edge. With the last bottles now (…)Lagg Kilmory

Lagg Kilmory is a telling introduction to Lagg single malt from the Isle of Arran. Named after the village where the distillery is located, it was one of the first two official bottlings released by Lagg in 2023. That gives it a special role: this is the distillery presenting its own style in a clear, direct way.
Distillery manager Graham Omand has spoken of his hope that Lagg single malt will one day become heritage. Kilmory feels like one of the first steps in that story. It is matured entirely in ex-bourbon barrels and made from Concerto barley malted to 50 ppm peat, with specific yeast strains and fermentation time helping to shape a full, rich yet fresh profile.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Kilmory as a strong expression of what Lagg stands for. The (…)Islay Mist 12y

Islay Mist 12y is a 12-year-old blended Scotch whisky with a clear smoky signature. At 40% alcohol, it keeps an approachable feel, while the age statement gives it a more settled place among blended whiskies.
Peat is the main point of character here. It is clearly present, supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty touches. That makes Islay Mist 12y a good choice for drinkers looking for a Scotch blend with a more pronounced smoky side, without moving into an overly intense style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would introduce to someone who enjoys blended Scotch but wants a little more peat-driven personality in the glass. Milk & Honey Peated STR Benelux is a cask strength single malt bottled at 58.9%, with a clearly smoky direction from the start. The name gives the main clues: peated whisky, a Shaved Toasted Recharred cask, and a Benelux release with a defined identity of its own.
Only 1447 bottles were produced, and the remaining availability is now limited. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are interesting because they capture a specific style rather than simply presenting a standard expression: peat, strength and cask choice all play a meaningful role here.
Distilled on 18 January 2018 and bottled without an age statement, this whisky puts the emphasis on character rather than age. It is a firm, smoky single malt where the cask strength presentation gives (…)Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja Incl. Box

Ledaig Sinclair Series Rioja is a Scottish single malt from Mull with Ledaig's peated side clearly at the centre. The Sinclair Series name and the Rioja wine finish give this release its own angle, placing a wine-influenced layer around the distillery's smoky style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky for drinkers who enjoy peat, but also appreciate the smaller details around it. The profile is not driven by oak; instead, the smoke is supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and coastal touches.
Bottled at 46.3%, it has enough strength to carry its island character and Rioja finish with clarity. Rather than leaning on an age statement, this Ledaig draws attention to the combination of Mull, peat and wine cask influence.

Inchfad 2017 5y Ww (Campbeltown Whisky Company)

Inchfad 2017 5y Ww is a young Highland single malt from Loch Lomond with a direct, uncompromising feel. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022 after five years of maturation, it was drawn from a single hogshead cask. That gives this release the character of one specific cask rather than a broader, blended house expression.
The cask strength bottling is central to its identity. At 58.2% ABV, it keeps the whisky in a powerful and unsoftened form, with the limited run of 300 bottles adding to its small-batch appeal. As these are the last bottles, it is the kind of release that naturally stands out at Drankenshop Broekmans for customers who enjoy compact, cask-driven whisky releases.
In style, the peated side is clearly present. Around that smoky core sit lighter (…)Pl6 2011 Elements Of Islay 50cl

The appeal here lies in its directness. Distilled in 2011, matured for 7 years and bottled at cask strength at 55.3%, it keeps close to the character of the whisky rather than softening it down to a standard strength. The 50 cl format also suits the idea of the range: focused, limited and clearly tied to a specific Islay distillery style.

Ardbeg An Oa takes its name from the Mull of An Oa, a piece of land reaching out into the sea and partly shielding Islay's coast from the rough Atlantic climate. That idea suits the whisky well: it remains firmly connected to Ardbeg's Islay identity, while showing a rounder and more approachable side.
The depth comes from a combination of ex-Pedro Ximénez casks, virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks. These whiskies are brought together in a specially designed Ardbeg gathering vat, where the Pedro Ximénez casks contribute sweetness, the charred virgin oak brings spice, and the ex-bourbon casks help preserve that characteristic Ardbeg intensity.

Teeling Blackpitts is an Irish single malt whiskey with peat clearly woven into its identity. That immediately gives it a distinctive position: rather than presenting smoke as a faint background note, this bottling places the peated side of the whiskey firmly in view.
Matured in Bourbon and Sauternes casks, Blackpitts has a style-driven character rather than one built around an age statement. At 46%, it brings together a pronounced peated profile with lighter floral, fruity, spicy and slightly salty accents. In the range at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as an Irish single malt for drinkers who want to explore smoke from a different angle.

This is a single cask bottling from a hogshead, released by Campbeltown Whisky Company under the Watt Whisky name. Only 319 bottles came from the cask, and with the last bottles now in circulation, it has the appeal of a small, finite release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we place among the more distinctive cask-strength discoveries: youthful, peated and focused more on distillate character than overt wood influence. The profile points toward peat as the main voice, supported by light spice, a subtle fruity touch and a (…)Rock Oyster Cs (Douglas Laing Regional Malts)

Rock Oyster CS is a Scottish blended malt from the Islands region, bottled by Douglas Laing as part of the Regional Malts range. It speaks very much in an island accent: peat is clearly at the centre, with a salty edge and a style that feels more driven by spirit character than by heavy oak influence.
CS stands for cask strength, and at 57.4% this whisky keeps a firm, undiluted presence. That strength suits the profile well, giving room to the peat while leaving space for lighter touches of spice, fruit and floral nuance.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Rock Oyster CS as a bottle for drinkers who enjoy Scottish island malt with a bit of bite and definition. Only 591 bottles came from this cask, so the appeal lies partly in its precision and limited nature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued because they show a particular slice of maturation, not a whisky blended to repeat the same profile year after year.

Johnnie Walker Black Islay 12y 1l presents a more peat-led side of the Johnnie Walker name. Based on the available details, this is a 12-year-old Scottish blended malt bottled at 42%, with Islay giving the whisky its main direction.
The appeal here lies in that Islay emphasis. Peat is clearly present, supported by lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty touches rather than a heavy wood-driven profile. The oak cask maturation and age statement give it a familiar whisky framework, while the one-litre bottle makes it a generous format on the shelf.

Islay Mist 17y is a Scottish blended whisky with a clearly peated direction. The 17-year age statement gives it a more mature place within the blend category, while the smoky side remains central to its identity.
The appeal here is in the way the peat is supported rather than left on its own. Alongside the smoke, there are lighter fruity, spicy, floral and salty accents, giving the whisky a broader flavour impression without moving away from its recognisably peated style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Islay Mist 17y as the kind of bottle that suits customers looking for a Scottish blend with a little more character. Its 40% strength keeps it approachable, while the peated profile gives it enough presence for those who enjoy smoke in their whisky.

Only 120 bottles were produced, and with the remaining bottles now marked as the last ones, this is a very small-scale release. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for exactly that reason: they show one individual cask at natural strength, rather than a broad house style shaped for volume.

Armorik Yeun Elez is a French single malt with a distinctly bold peated side. It is Armorik's first heavily peated whisky, at 50 ppm, and it brings a very Breton interpretation of smoke: intense, flavourful and touched by a saline edge.
The peat is clearly at the heart of the whisky, yet it is not the only voice in the glass. Sherry and bourbon casks add depth and roundness, while fruit, gentle spice and a lightly salty note give the whisky more movement than sheer smoke alone.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like Yeun Elez because it challenges expectations. In blind tastings, experienced whisky drinkers repeatedly placed it among well-known Islay names, which says a great deal about the confidence and impact Armorik has achieved here.

Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a peated Scottish single malt bottled at 49.1%, and it brings a distinctly maritime side to the core Glenglassaugh range. Its maturation combines bourbon, sherry and port casks, giving the whisky more than a straightforward smoky profile. There is room here for fruit, darker tones and a firm structure on the palate. The deep amber colour fits that richer, coastal mood well.
