Chateau Clos De Bouard 2022

Château Clos de Boüard 2022 is the estate's main wine from Montagne-Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot forms the core of the blend, supported by cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon, giving a wine built around ripe fruit, structure and the freshness associated with its clay-limestone setting.
The château works with south-facing vineyard slopes and vines averaging around 40 years of age. Parcels are vinified separately, with cold pre-fermentation maceration, manual pigeage and 18 months of ageing in barriques, including a proportion of new oak. That explains the wine's mix of dark fruit, spice, polished texture and a wood influence that is present without taking over the whole picture.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits (…)La Dame De Bouard 2020

La Dame De Bouard 2020

La Dame de Boüard 2020 is the second wine of Château Clos de Boüard from Montagne-Saint-Émilion. It is a right-bank Bordeaux red with Merlot at its core, supported by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, made as a distinct expression of the same estate terroir.
There is real care behind the wine. The grapes are selected by hand, then sorted again using a sorting table and optical selection. Vinification is carried out parcel by parcel, with a long maceration and maturation for 10 to 14 months in barriques, only a modest proportion of which are new.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Bordeaux we like to point out to customers looking for ripe fruit, structure and freshness in the same glass. The 2020 vintage has also been (…)La Dame De Bouard 2021

La Dame De Bouard 2021
In stock
La Dame de Bouard 2021 is the second wine of Château Clos de Bouard in Montagne-Saint-Émilion. Produced by the estate led by Coralie de Bouard and Loïc Maillet, it shows a more approachable reading of the same right-bank Bordeaux setting.
The blend is led by merlot, with cabernet franc and a smaller proportion of cabernet sauvignon. The fruit comes from the estate's own vineyard, where vines average around 40 years of age on south-facing clay-limestone slopes near Parsac. That background gives the wine a recognisably Bordeaux frame, while the 2021 vintage keeps the emphasis on freshness and drinkability rather than weight.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a good example of Montagne-Saint-Émilion for someone who enjoys Bordeaux (…)La Dame De Bouard 2022

La Dame de Bouard 2022 is a red wine from Montagne-Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux's Right Bank. It is the second wine of Château Clos de Boüard, giving a more approachable expression of the estate while still staying close to its origin.
The blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet franc. The grapes come from the château's own vineyards on south-facing clay-limestone slopes, and the wine is matured in barriques with only a limited proportion of new oak. That detail matters in the glass: the wine has structure and polish, but the fruit remains central.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Bordeaux we like to show to customers who appreciate Right Bank depth without wanting a wine that needs a very long wait. The 2022 vintage (…)
