A rich history

Glenglassaugh is a Scottish single malt whisky distillery known for its high-quality whiskies. Located on the coast of Scotland's Highland region, the distillery has a long history dating back to 1875. Although the distillery has seen a few closures and re-openings over the years, it has always maintained its commitment to craftsmanship and quality. Today, Glenglassaugh is synonymous with producing exquisite single malt whiskies that capture the essence of Scottish tradition.

The influence of sea and land

Overlooking beautiful Sanded Bay, Glenglassaugh's distillery is blessed with an environment that has a unique influence on the whiskies produced there. The salty sea air, rugged climate, and fertile farmland all come together to influence the flavour and character of the whiskies.

Glenglassaugh's new range reflects this unique environment through an extraordinary variety of whiskies.

12 YEARS OLD 45%

This 12yo is the first release with an age statement. We had to wait a long time for it, but it was worth it. This is a bright gold-coloured untanned whisky matured in a combination of bourbon cask, sherry cask and casks that previously held red wine. It was bottled at 45% ABV and immediately gives you a clear idea of what Glenglassaugh stands for. It has a distinct maritime touch that combines rich waves of ripe fruit with a pleasant sea breeze.

Profile

  • Nose: sweet waves of ripe apricot and fig that transition into vanilla and tropical flowers. The maritime touch adds warmth.
  • Mouth: candied pistachio, date and sweet fig. Then a wave of cherry and whipped cream infused with a sea breeze.

As a creative jack-of-all-trades in the marketing world, I also bring that imaginative flair to my drink choices. Whether on a night out, sunny vacation or social gathering with girlfriends, I'm always in my element with a refreshing cocktail in hand. Cocktails have stolen my heart because of the endless possibilities to experiment and explore. My favorite cocktail of the moment is the "Lazy Red Cheeks"! A delicious cocktail using vodka as a base. I love vodka because it mixes perfectly with non-alcoholic drinks. My favorite spirit? Rum!
