Clos Du Marquis 2011 is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Julien in the Médoc, with a distinctly classical feel. It comes from Domaines Delon, in the orbit of Château Léoville Las Cases, yet its identity should not be mistaken for that of a simple second wine. Clos du Marquis has its own Saint-Julien terroir and has existed under this name since 1902.
The 2011 vintage was shaped by an exceptionally warm, dry spring, followed by summer rain that helped offset the early water stress. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot and Cabernet Franc. That helps explain the wine's emphasis on structure, freshness and a leaner Saint-Julien expression rather than a broad, very ripe style.

Clos du Marquis 2020 is a red Saint-Julien from Bordeaux with a clear identity of its own. It is made within Domaines Delon, the estate behind Château Léoville Las Cases, yet it is not the second wine of Léoville Las Cases. Clos du Marquis comes from specific Saint-Julien terroirs west of the Enclos, with vines averaging around thirty years of age.
The 2020 vintage is built around Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and Cabernet Franc. That Cabernet-driven structure gives the wine its firm line, dark fruit depth and ageing potential. The use of 40% new oak adds aromatic detail without making the wine simply about wood.

Clos du Marquis 2021 is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Julien with a very clear identity of its own. It should not be seen as a generic second wine of Château Léoville Las Cases, but as a separate Saint-Julien wine built on its own terroir base. The name dates back to 1902 and refers to the Petit Clos near the Château de Léoville, the historic residence of the Marquis de Las Cases.
The 2021 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc. That Cabernet presence is central to the style: freshness, structure and a firm sense of tension, supported by Merlot's softer, airier contribution. Clos du Marquis 2022 is a red Bordeaux from Saint-Julien, on the left bank of the Gironde. It is produced within Domaines Delon and is closely connected to the estate of Château Léoville Las Cases, yet it is positioned as a wine in its own right, with its own terroir. The vineyards lie on the Saint-Julien plateau, around 500 metres west of the Grand Enclos, on gravel, sandy clay and gravel-rich soils.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by an early start to the growing season, a warm and relatively dry spring, and a very hot summer. In Saint-Julien, rainfall from late May to late June helped avoid severe drought stress, giving small, concentrated and healthy berries with ripe skin tannins.
