About VECCHIA ROMAGNA
Vecchia Romagna is an Italian brand that is mainly known for its brandy, a type of distilled beverage based on wine. The brand was founded in 1820 in Bologna by the Buton family, who originally came from France and brought their knowledge of cognac to Italy. Since then, Vecchia Romagna has developed into one of the most recognizable names in the Italian brandy world. Production takes place in the Emilia-Romagna region, where mainly Trebbiano grapes are used, a grape variety that is common in Italy and is traditionally associated with Italian brandy. Distillation is done using a combination of traditional and modern methods, followed by aging in oak barrels, which ensures a distinctive soft and rich character. The range varies from young to longer-aged brandies, with Vecchia Romagna Etichetta Nera being especially known as the flagship of the brand. With its distinctive triangular bottle and a pronounced, warm style, Vecchia Romagna has become a fixture in both Italian bars and numerous international markets.
