Lanson is a Champagne house from Reims, in the heart of the French Champagne region. The brand was founded in 1760 and is therefore one of the older players in the area. Lanson is known for a traditional approach to making Champagne: the wines generally do not undergo malolactic fermentation, which allows them to retain their fresh and lively character. The house works with a selection of grapes sourced from various cru villages in the region, with a strong emphasis on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, along with a share of Pinot Meunier.
