Product info about Quest Red 2018
Quest Red 2018 is a Spanish red wine with a very distinct identity: a Bordeaux-inspired blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit verdot and merlot, shaped in the high-altitude setting of Pallars Jussà in Catalonia. It comes from the D.O. Costers del Segre and is linked to Castell d'Encús, the estate founded in 2001 by oenologist Raül Bobet.The appeal lies in the meeting of place, history and precision. The grapes come from the estate's own vineyard near Talarn, where altitude and clear day-night temperature shifts help preserve freshness and tension. Fermentation takes place entirely in 12th-century stone gravity vats once used by the Hospitallers, with native or wild yeasts. Malolactic fermentation follows in French barrels, where the wine matures for 17 months.
