Product info about Le Dragon De Quintus 2022 Magnum (1,5l)
Le Dragon de Quintus 2022 is the second wine of Ch Quintus from Saint-Emilion, offered here in a 1.5 litre magnum. Its name refers to the dragon figure overlooking the estate from the heights above Saint-Emilion, giving the wine a clear link to the place behind it.The 2022 blend is led by merlot, with cabernet franc and malbec completing the composition. It comes from the same mosaic of terroirs as Château Quintus, including limestone plateaus, clay-limestone soils, slopes and higher-lying plots. Le Dragon is intended as the more immediate, fruit-driven reading of the Quintus terroir, while still carrying the estate's signature origin.
The vintage was shaped by dry conditions, warmth and an early growing season. Harvest took place from 7 to 28 September, the earliest since the property was established in 2011. The grapes were described as small, concentrated and aromatic, with selection carried out in both vineyard and cellar. Ageing took place in barriques, 29.6% of them new.

About CH QUINTUS
Ch Quintus is a winery from France that is part of the renowned Saint-Émilion region in Bordeaux. The winery was added to the portfolio of Domaines Clarence Dillon in 2011, which is also the owner of the prestigious Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion. Ch Quintus was created from the merger of two former estates: Château Tertre Daugay and Château L´Arrosée, after which a third vineyard, Château Grand-Pontet, was later added to the estate. This merger resulted in a vineyard of approximately 45 hectares on a selection of limestone plateaus and slopes, typical of Saint-Émilion. The wine production focuses mainly on blends of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, characteristic for the region, with attention to precision and expression of the terroir. Ch Quintus aims to showcase the unique character of each vintage and the special microclimate of their vineyards in their wines. With limited editions and a modern approach, combined with respect for tradition, Ch Quintus offers a contemporary perspective on what the Saint-Émilion terroirs have to offer.
