Chateau Quintus 2019
On request only
Château Quintus 2019 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, made with merlot noir and cabernet franc in a vintage where cabernet franc clearly has an important voice beside the fuller merlot. The vineyards sit on a limestone promontory with plateau and slopes of varied exposure, giving the estate a range of microclimates to work with and placing the wine firmly in the character of Bordeaux's Right Bank.
The 2019 season brought a dry, warm summer, welcome rain at the end of July and cooler nights in August, followed by favourable conditions in September. Harvest ran from 19 September to 9 October. The estate works with hand harvesting, strict grape selection and gentle extraction, using wooden and stainless-steel vats for vinification. For this (…)Chateau Quintus 2019 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Quintus 2019 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Quintus 2019 Demi is the half-bottle format of the grand vin from Château Quintus in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. The 37.5 cl size does not indicate a different cuvée; it is the same Château Quintus 2019, simply in a more flexible bottle for occasions when a full bottle of Bordeaux is more than you need. At Drankenshop Broekmans, that makes it a particularly appealing format for a serious Saint-Émilion.
The 2019 blend is 55.4% Merlot and 44.6% Cabernet Franc. Merlot brings ripe fruit and volume, while the substantial share of Cabernet Franc adds structure, spice and freshness. The wine is drawn from a mosaic of estate parcels with limestone, clay and clay-limestone soils, set on a limestone promontory in Saint-Émilion.

Chateau Quintus 2019 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château Quintus 2019 Magnum is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in a 1.5-litre bottle, giving the wine a naturally more generous presence. The magnum format is not a separate cuvée; it is the grand vin of Château Quintus, part of Domaine Clarence Dillon in Saint-Émilion.
The 2019 blend is made from 55.4% merlot and 44.6% cabernet franc. That substantial share of cabernet franc is one of the notable features of the vintage, especially as the estate notes that both varieties reached good ripeness in 2019. The vineyards sit on a limestone promontory on the south-western edge of the Saint-Émilion plateau, with plots spread across limestone, clay and clay-limestone soils. Warm conditions, cool nights and timely rain all form part of the story (…)Chateau Quintus 2020

Château Quintus 2020 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Émilion, built around Merlot with a significant share of Cabernet Franc. In this vintage, the Cabernet Franc is not just part of the blend; the château highlights its role in giving the wine structure and freshness.
The 2020 growing season shaped the wine clearly. A mild, wet winter led to an early start in the vineyard, followed by a very warm and dry summer with several heatwaves. Rain in August helped the grapes continue ripening, while the estate limited leaf removal to protect the bunches and preserve aromatic freshness.
Quintus sits on a limestone rise near Saint-Émilion, with a varied mix of limestone, clay and clay-limestone soils. The wine was matured partly in new (…)Chateau Quintus 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Quintus 2022 Demi is the grand vin of Château Quintus from Saint-Émilion, presented here in a 37.5 cl half bottle. It is a useful format when you want to open a serious Bordeaux without committing to a full bottle, while the wine itself remains the same Château Quintus 2022.
The 2022 vintage is an important one for the estate. Harvest took place from 7 to 28 September, the earliest since the property was established in 2011. In a warm, dry year, the clay-limestone soils helped retain freshness, and the estate worked with careful selection within individual parcels before assembling the final wine through blind tasting.
The blend is 58.5% merlot and 41.5% cabernet franc. That high proportion of cabernet franc is significant: (…)Le Dragon De Quintus 2020

Le Dragon de Quintus 2020 is the second wine of Château Quintus in Saint-Émilion, drawn from the same mosaic of terroirs as the estate's grand vin. Its role is not simply to echo the first wine, but to show a more immediate, younger-drinking side of the domaine.
The 2020 vintage was shaped by contrasts: a mild, wet winter, an early start to the growing season and then a hot, dry summer with several heatwaves. Château Quintus adjusted its vineyard work to protect the bunches and preserve aromatic freshness. The blend is strongly Merlot-led, supported by Cabernet Franc, giving the wine its ripe fruit expression, supple opening and firm underlying structure.
The name refers to the bronze dragon overlooking the estate and the valley. It gives (…)Le Dragon De Quintus 2022
