Château Potensac 2022 is a red Bordeaux from the Médoc with a clear Left Bank signature. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small proportion of Petit Verdot. This is the estate's grand vin, drawn from vineyards near Ordonnac, where limestone, clay-gravel ridges and a high proportion of gravel shape a wine built around structure and freshness.The 2022 vintage at Potensac produced small, concentrated grapes while retaining freshness. That helps explain the style described in the tasting notes: deep, firm and compact, yet with enough lift to keep the wine from feeling heavy. Twelve months in oak barrels, with only a measured share of new wood, reflects the Domaines Delon approach, where oak supports the wine rather than masking the fruit.
