Clarendon 2012 12y (Cadenhead)
On request only
Clarendon 2012 12y comes from Cadenhead's Dated Distillations, a rum series built around clarity of origin, vintage and age. This Jamaican release is tied to Clarendon Estate, matured for twelve years and bottled at 55%, giving it a firm and expressive presence in the glass.
Cadenhead's treats these rums with a strong focus on authenticity: no chill filtration, no added colouring, and a label that puts the essential details in plain sight. The Bourbon Barrel maturation frames the spirit without taking attention away from the distillery character.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this have a natural place among rums for drinkers who enjoy specificity: a named estate, a dated distillation and a limited bottling rather than a broad blended profile. With (…)Plantation Barbados XO Mini

Plantation Barbados XO Mini

Plantation Barbados XO Mini brings the Barbados side of Planteray (Plantation) into a compact, easy-to-share format. It is a molasses-based rum bottled at 40%, with a distillation profile that includes both pot still and column still production. The XO name gives it a polished feel, while the bottle carries no age statement.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of miniature that works well for tasting, comparing styles or adding a thoughtful touch to a drinks gift. It gives a clear introduction to Barbados rum without committing to a full-size bottle.
With the last bottles now available, this mini release has a little extra relevance for anyone who enjoys smaller formats and wants to explore the character of a Barbados molasses rum in a simple, (…)Diamond 2012 12y (Cadenhead)

Diamond 2012 12y (Cadenhead)

Diamond 2012 12y is a Guyanese rum bottled by Cadenhead's with the clear, transparent spirit of the Dated Distillations range. Rather than leaning on vague storytelling, it gives you the essentials straight away: distilled in 2012, matured for 12 years and presented with a strong focus on provenance.
Cadenhead's treats these rums with the same respect for authenticity as its whisky bottlings. The approach avoids chill filtration and added colouring, keeping the rum close to its natural cask character. The Bourbon Barrel maturation gives structure, while the profile remains strongly fruit-led, supported by sweetness, gentle spice and a light woody touch.
At 55%, this is a rum with real intensity in the glass. Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it (…)Planteray Fiji 2012 14y Oceana Incl. Box

Planteray Fiji 2012 14y Oceana Incl. Box

Planteray Fiji 2012 14y Oceana shows a very expressive side of Fijian molasses rum. It was produced at Paradise Beverage Distillery on the Fiji Islands, with a fermentation of 4 to 5 days before pot still distillation. That gives the rum a substantial, characterful base before maturation even begins.
The ageing is one of the defining elements here. This 2012 vintage spent 11 years maturing tropically in bourbon casks, followed by another 3 years of continental ageing in Ferrand casks. That long development gives depth, yet the rum does not become a purely wood-driven style; fruit, floral notes and spice remain central to its personality.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle sits comfortably among rums for drinkers who enjoy origin, maturity and aromatic (…)Dictador Libreto Ao 2002 Incl. Box

Dictador Libreto Ao 2002 is a Colombian rum built around maturity, craftsmanship and rarity. Distilled in 2002 and aged for 20 years, it belongs to a special Libreto release that Dictador describes as a collector's piece, created in honour of the brand's heritage.
Made from sugar cane syrup, distilled in a traditional column and matured in American oak, it brings together a classic production approach with a composed aromatic style. The profile points towards ripe fruit, floral nuance, gentle sweetness, light spice and a measured touch of wood.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Dictador we like to present to rum drinkers who enjoy a dated release with a clear sense of origin and patience. With the last bottles now in view, it has that extra (…)Jamaica 2011 15y (Cadenhead's Single Cask)

Jamaica 2011 15y (Cadenhead's Single Cask)
In stock
Cadenhead's Jamaica 2011 15y is an expressive Jamaican rum from the Single Cask range, distilled in 2011 and bottled after 15 years of maturation. It is a molasses rum made in a pot still style, with the typically aromatic island character highlighted in the product information.
The rum matured in a bourbon barrel, yet the real point of interest is the combination of Jamaican personality, age and single cask individuality. This is not a broad blended profile, but a specific cask selection with its own direction. At 50.4% ABV, it has a firm presence without making strength the whole story.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone looking for Jamaican rum with a pronounced aromatic signature. With only the last (…)Ricci Taureau 50cl Incl. Box

Ricci Taureau from Famille Ricci is a molasses rum built from two mature Caribbean components: 25% 10-year-old Jamaican rum and 75% 16-year-old Trinidad rum. That composition gives the bottling a clear sense of depth, with the Jamaican part adding aromatic drive and the Trinidad share bringing mature weight.
It was distilled using both pot still and column still distillation, then matured entirely in bourbon barrels. Bottled at cask strength at 65.6% ABV and without additives, this is a pure, forceful rum where concentration and authenticity are very much part of the experience.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Ricci Taureau is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a serious, high-strength rum with ripe fruit, texture and intensity. With only (…)Paranubes

Paranubes

Paranubes is a Mexican rum made from sugar cane juice, and that immediately sets the tone. Rather than leaning on a wood-driven style, it puts the raw material at the centre: floral, fruity and lightly vegetal, with the kind of directness that makes sugar cane juice rum so distinctive.
At 54% ABV, it carries real presence. The traditional column distillation supports a clear, focused style, allowing the cane-driven character to come through with intensity rather than heavy sweetness or oak influence.
Within the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, Paranubes stands out for drinkers looking beyond the more familiar rum styles. It has found an audience among customers who enjoy a purer, more expressive take on rum, and these are now the last bottles available.

Travellers 2015 10y (Cadenhead's Single Cask)

Travellers 2015 10y shows the appeal of a single cask rum in a very direct way. Bottled by Cadenhead's as part of the Single Cask range, it comes from one bourbon barrel, so the focus is on one particular cask rather than on a broad, blended house expression.
This is a molasses-based rum from Belize, distilled in a traditional column style and aged for ten years. At 55% it has real presence, yet the supplied notes point above all to a rich, full style with a clear dessert-like character. Vanilla, caramel, dates, nuts and warm bakery tones shape the impression.

Vieux Sajous 2020 5y is a Haitian sugar cane juice rum with a very clear sense of origin. It is made from pure Cristalline cane juice from Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye, at Michel Sajous, and distilled in a pot still. That gives the rum a direct connection to the raw cane material rather than a more neutral molasses-based style.
Five years of tropical ageing add depth while keeping the spirit lively. The rum matured in a mix of casks that previously held whisky, rum and bourbon, bringing structure and spice around the cane juice core. Bottled at 59.52%, it has the strength and energy of a cask strength release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottling stands out because it combines a precise Haitian origin with a defined place in the Vieux project by Spirit of (…)Saint James Single Cask 2001

Saint James Single Cask 2001 is a Martinique sugar cane juice rum with a very specific identity: it was drawn from a single cask. Distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2016, it represents one particular cask from the Saint James distillery rather than a broader blended expression.
Maturation in oak barrels that previously held bourbon brings notes associated with vanilla, caramel and toasted wood. What makes the rum appealing is the way that cask influence sits alongside fruit, floral tones and spice, rather than simply dominating the spirit.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present to customers who want to explore the more individual side of aged agricole-style rum. It has the structure of oak, the brightness of fruit and a measured (…)River Antoine Rivers

River Antoine Rivers is a rum from Grenada made from sugar cane juice and bottled at a striking 69% ABV. That strength is central to the way this rum presents itself: bold, direct and focused on the spirit's own character rather than on an overt wood influence.
With traditional column distillation and no age statement, the emphasis sits firmly on expression and intensity. The flavour profile points towards floral and fruity notes, supported by lighter touches of spice, sweetness and a vegetal edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone looking for a powerful sugar cane juice style with a clear sense of origin and plenty of presence in the glass. It is a bottle to approach thoughtfully, not one to rush.

That makes it a snapshot of a single cask's development: focused, individual and tied to one particular maturation path. At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are appreciated for exactly that reason, as they show a more specific side of Trinidad rum.

Papa Rouyo Viraj shows a more adventurous side of Guadeloupe rum while keeping its roots clearly in view. It is made from fresh sugar cane juice grown on the clay-limestone soils around Le Moule and distilled in the house pot still. That gives the rum a direct connection to its raw material and to the place it comes from.
After distillation in 2022, Viraj was transferred to ex-sherry casks for maturation. The casks add roundness, depth and a more layered feel, while the lively cane-driven expression remains central. Floral, fruity and spiced elements shape the profile, with wood playing a supporting rather than overpowering role.

Clairin Vaval 2022 comes from Cavaillon in Haiti, where the Arawaks distillery produces rum in an artisanal way from fresh sugar cane juice. The cane variety is Madame Meuze, and that detail matters here: this is a spirit built around the direct expression of freshly pressed cane.
Fermentation is spontaneous, using wild yeasts naturally present on the sugar cane and in the surrounding air. Fritz Vaval then distils it traditionally in a pot still. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to present when someone wants to understand how characterful and distinctive sugar cane juice rum can be.
