Amrut Peated
Temporarily sold out
Expected: 01/11/2026Amrut Peated brings Indian single malt whisky into a clearly peated style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone who wants to explore peat from a different angle, beyond the most familiar whisky origins.
Bottled at 46%, it has matured in oak casks and carries no age statement. The focus is therefore less on a number on the label and more on the way the malt, oak influence and peat character come together in the glass.
The peat is clearly present, supported by light wood, gentle spice and a modest fruity side. That gives the whisky a defined identity without making it feel one-dimensional.
The flavour is led by a clear peat presence, giving the whisky its main direction. Around it, lighter notes of (…)Corsair Triple Smoke

Corsair Triple Smoke

Corsair Triple Smoke is an American whiskey with a name that sets the tone straight away. Smoke is the defining idea here, giving the bottle a clear identity within the American whiskey category.
Maturation in American Oak brings a modest wood influence, with lighter touches of spice and fruit around it. There is no age statement, so the focus falls more on the whiskey's style and flavour direction than on a declared maturation age.
With 600 bottles released and the last bottles now in view, Drankenshop Broekmans sees this as a particularly interesting choice for anyone drawn to a smoky take on American whiskey.
The flavour profile is clearly built around smoke. Around that main line, there are lighter impressions of wood, spice and fruit, (…)Loch Lomond 2012 10y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Loch Lomond 2012 10y Tb (Thompson Brothers)
On request only
Loch Lomond 2012 10y Tb is a Highland single malt with a very focused identity. Distilled on 3 September 2012 and bottled on 1 November 2022, it spent 10 years in a refill barrel before being drawn from a single cask. Only 234 bottles were produced, so this is a narrow, individual snapshot rather than a large-scale release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for the way they show a whisky in a more direct form. It is bottled at cask strength, 53.7%, giving the whisky a firm presence and keeping the single-cask character close to the source.
The refill barrel points to a more restrained wood influence, while the flavour profile places peat clearly at the centre. Fruit, spice and oak are present in lighter roles, supporting rather than (…)Nikka White 50cl

Nikka White 50cl

Nikka White 50cl shows a smoky side of Japanese whisky. As a blended malt from Nikka, it leans into a more pronounced peated profile, giving the whisky a firmer identity than its modest bottle size might suggest.
Oak cask maturation adds a light supporting layer, with wood, spice and fruit present without taking over. The main impression remains the smoke, making this a Japanese whisky with a more defined and assertive direction.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to point out to customers exploring Japanese whisky beyond the softer styles. With only the last bottles remaining, it has also become a less common find in the selection.
The flavour profile is led by clear peat smoke. Light touches of oak, spice and fruit (…)Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek 50cl

Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek 50cl

Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek is a Belgian single malt whisky with a clearly peated side. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a Belgian whisky for drinkers who are drawn to smoke and structure rather than a broadly sweet or heavily fruity style.
Distilled in 2017 and matured in oak cask, it carries no age statement. That shifts the focus to its character in the glass: peat is the main feature, while wood, spice, fruit and floral notes play a lighter supporting role.
Bottled at 46% in a 50 cl format, this Gouden Carolus has a compact but expressive identity. It is a Belgian single malt where smoke and oak shape the experience, with the other elements kept more restrained.
The flavour profile is led by peat, which is more pronounced than (…)Akkeshi Ritto Peated

Akkeshi Ritto Peated

Akkeshi Ritto Peated is a Japanese single malt with peat placed clearly at the centre of its identity. There is no age statement here, so the focus shifts to style, strength and cask influence rather than years in wood.
The use of Mizunara oak gives this peated whisky an additional point of interest. Its profile shows peat as the main feature, supported by lighter impressions of wood, spice, fruit and saltiness. That makes it more than a straightforward smoky whisky; the peat is framed by other elements rather than standing alone.
At 55% alcohol, Ritto Peated has a firm presence. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a bottle for drinkers who want to explore Japanese single malt from a more powerful, smoky angle. With the last bottles now indicated, it is (…)Jura The Sound 1l

Jura The Sound 1l
Very last one in stock!
Jura The Sound 1l is a Scottish single malt from Jura, bottled at 42.5% and finished in Pedro Ximenez casks. Rather than focusing on an age statement, it draws attention to its island origin, its litre format and that particular cask finish.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point out to customers looking for a Jura with several gentle flavour accents rather than one dominant direction. The supplied profile indicates light fruit, spice, wood and a modest peated note, giving the whisky a measured and varied character.
With only the last bottles remaining, Jura The Sound has a slightly more fleeting place on the shelf, especially for those interested in this Pedro Ximenez-finished expression from Jura. Additional information about (…)Laphroaig Cairdeas 15y

Laphroaig Cairdeas 15y is a 15-year-old Islay single malt with peat placed firmly at the heart of its character. The bourbon barrel maturation adds a gentle wood influence, supporting the whisky rather than softening away its island identity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Laphroaig for drinkers who appreciate a clearly peated style with a little more age behind it. Alongside the smoke-driven profile, the whisky carries lighter impressions of spice, fruit and saltiness, giving it more than just peat to speak about.

Port Charlotte Single Cask 01 is an Islay single malt built around a very focused idea: one individual cask, presented at cask strength. At 55.2% alcohol, it keeps the whisky close to the strength and personality of that particular maturation.
Distilled in 2012 and aged for 9 years, it offers a defined snapshot of Port Charlotte rather than a broader multi-cask composition. That single cask identity is the central point here: a specific whisky from a specific moment.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this with drinkers looking for a clearly peated Islay malt, but not one-dimensional peat alone. The profile also carries lighter notes of wood, spice, fruit and salinity, giving the whisky structure around its pronounced peated core.

Ardmore 2008 10y is a Highland single malt with a very focused identity: one cask, one vintage, and a small outturn. Distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2019, it spent 10 years maturing in a bourbon barrel.
As a single cask release, it represents a specific selection rather than a broader house blend. Only 272 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now available, that limited nature becomes part of the appeal.
At 54%, this is bottled at cask strength, keeping the whisky close to its original form from the barrel. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Ardmore as a whisky for those who appreciate a more direct Highland single malt, with fruit and peat forming the main line of character, while wood and spice stay in a supporting role.

Bowmore 1997 25y If (Alistair Walker - Infrequent Flyers)

This Bowmore 1997 from Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers range is a release with a very clear sense of place and selection. Distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2022, it spent 25 years maturing before receiving a Pedro Ximenez finish, adding a richer dimension to Bowmore's Islay malt character.
Alistair Walker created Infrequent Flyers after two decades in the whisky world, becoming an independent bottler in 2018. His philosophy is deliberately straightforward: select excellent casks, often from distilleries or parcels that are seen less frequently. This Bowmore follows that idea closely. It is a single cask release, bottled at cask strength, with only 299 bottles produced. Highland 2000 22y keeps its exact distillery name undisclosed, which gives the bottle a certain quiet intrigue. What we do know is precise enough to make it interesting: a Highland single malt distilled in 2000, matured for 22 years and bottled by Watt Whisky, the Campbeltown Whisky Company label.
Rather than being part of a large blended batch, this comes from one sherry hogshead and was bottled at cask strength, at 54%. That makes it a snapshot of one individual cask rather than a polished house style. Only 294 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles now in view, it is the kind of small-release whisky that naturally catches our attention at Drankenshop Broekmans.

Amrut Fusion is an Indian single malt whisky with a clear sense of identity. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it is the kind of bottle we would point out to someone who enjoys single malt but wants to explore beyond the most familiar whisky regions.
Bottled at 50%, it has enough strength to carry its profile with confidence. There is no age statement here, so the focus shifts away from numbers and towards style: oak cask maturation, a light woody touch, gentle spice, fruit and a subtle peated note all playing a part.
Its appeal lies in that directness. Amrut Fusion feels distinctive without becoming complicated, and its steady popularity says a lot about how well this Indian single malt connects with curious whisky drinkers.

Benriach 1994 31y Shades Smoke reveals a remarkably mature side of peated Speyside single malt. Distilled in 1994 and aged for 31 years, it is shaped around finesse, texture and a graceful thread of smoke rather than sheer intensity.
Its peat is not heavy-handed. It sits softly around Benriach's fruit-driven character, with honeyed depth, candied citrus and chocolate notes giving the whisky its slow, layered feel. The release is composed from 11 carefully selected casks, giving it the sense of a whisky built for quiet attention rather than quick impressions.

Connemara is an Irish single malt with a very distinctive position. Launched in 1995 and coming from the Cooley distillery, it is described in the supplied information as the first peated Irish whiskey. That immediately sets it apart from the more familiar idea many drinkers have of Irish whiskey.
The defining point here is the malt: 75% of it is peated. Tasted blind, Connemara is said to resemble a Scotch single malt more than a typical Irish style, thanks to its fuller and more distinctive aromas. It remains an Irish whiskey, but one with a smoky direction, a golden colour and maturation in oak casks.

Kyrö Peat Smoke is a Finnish rye whisky with a very distinctive starting point: 100% Finnish malted rye, smoked for 24 hours with Finnish freshwater peat. The result is not just a layer of smoke, but a more earthy, moss-like peat character that stays closely connected to the rye itself.
What makes it stand out is the way the peat, wholegrain malted rye and warm spice build one coherent style. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like placing this next to more familiar smoky whiskies, because it shows a different side of peat: shaped by Finnish raw material and carried by rye rather than by convention.
Bottled at 47.2%, Kyro Peat Smoke has enough strength to express its smoky and spicy profile clearly, while still leaving room for sweetness and a light fruity (…)Old Ballantruan 15y Tube Incl.

As part of the Warehouse 1 range, this 10-year-old release brings together familiar Speyside malt character with a finish that adds lift and originality.
The peat and smoke are clear, yet they do not turn the whisky into something heavy. John Crabbie Peated is a Scottish peated single malt where the smoke is clear, but carefully kept in check. Produced according to the traditional Scottish method, it pays tribute to Edinburgh's maritime heritage, a fitting background for a whisky with an authentic peat character and a subtle salty edge.
Slow distillation and maturation in carefully selected oak casks give it a rounded, approachable style. The peat is present enough to define the whisky, yet it does not cover the softer malt-driven side. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a good introduction to Scottish peated single malt for drinkers who want real smoke without an overpowering profile.
