Mars Kasei Incl. Box

Mars Kasei is a Japanese blended whisky from Mars Maltage, bottled at 40%. With no age statement, the focus sits firmly on the style of the blend itself: fruit is the main thread, supported by light floral tones, gentle spice and a modest peated accent.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this has its place among Japanese whiskies for drinkers who prefer a profile that is not driven by heavy wood influence or high strength. Its appeal lies in a relatively clear composition, where the fruity side remains central and the subtler elements add shape without making the whisky feel weighty.
Mars Kasei is a quietly styled whisky. It does not try to overwhelm; instead, it builds around fruit, soft spice and a light touch of peat.

Mikkeller Black Oloroso Cask 37.5cl is a Danish grain whisky shaped around an Oloroso sherry cask theme. With no age statement, the focus sits less on a number of years and more on the style of the release itself: fruit-led, gently spiced and clearly away from peat-driven whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out because of its Danish origin and its smaller 37.5cl format. It is the kind of size that invites discovery without committing to a full bottle straight away. As only the last bottles remain, there is also a more limited feel to this release.
The supplied flavour profile points most clearly toward fruit, supported by lighter floral and spicy touches. Wood, saltiness and peat do not play a noticeable role in that profile, allowing the (…)Mikkeller Black Bourbon Cask 37,5cl

Mikkeller Black Bourbon Cask 37,5cl is a Danish grain whisky bottled at 43%, offered in a smaller 37.5cl format. The name points clearly to bourbon barrel maturation, while the whisky is presented without an age statement, keeping the focus on its style rather than on a declared maturation period.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for its Danish origin and its limited remaining availability. It is the kind of whisky that feels a little off the usual path, especially for drinkers who enjoy discovering names beyond the most familiar whisky regions.
The supplied flavour profile leans towards fruitiness, with lighter floral and spicy touches in support. Peat, saltiness and pronounced wood influence are not part of the stated profile, even though (…)Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition

Dunphys is an Irish blended whiskey with a story rooted in the 1950s. Produced by Midleton and originally launched with the American market in mind, it carries the feel of a straightforward, classic Irish blend rather than a modern statement release.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Dunphys as a whiskey built around approachability and familiar Irish charm. Fruit is the main thread, with a gentle touch of spice in support. Its oak cask maturation stays in the background, giving structure without turning the whiskey woody.
Bottled at 40%, it is a soft, easy-going dram with a short finish. As these are the last bottles, Dunphys also has that extra sense of a whiskey you may not keep seeing on the shelf for long.

Ole Smoky Sweet Tea Moonshine 50cl takes an unmistakably American moonshine idea and gives it the familiar character of sweet tea. At 20% ABV, it is not positioned as a heavy, oak-led whiskey experience; the emphasis is much more on flavour, clarity and easy enjoyment.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out as a more contemporary take on the spirit category. The fruit-driven side is the most noticeable part of its profile, supported by a light floral note and a gentle touch of spice. Wolfburn Aurora Sherry 35cl is a Highland single malt with a clear sherry influence, shaped without turning heavy or overly woody. The spirit matured in a combination of bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks, which were brought together at the end of maturation to create a soft and well-balanced dram.
Part of its appeal lies in the way the whisky is made before it even reaches the cask: long fermentation, slow distillation and maturation in the newly built warehouses. Those details help frame a whisky where fruit, gentle spice and floral touches have room to show themselves naturally.

Mackmyra Karibien is a Swedish single malt that follows on from a much-appreciated limited Mackmyra release from 2016, finished in ex-Plantation rum casks from Jamaica and Barbados. Karibien returns to that same Caribbean-inspired idea, but with a little more layering in the cask selection.
Rum casks from Jamaica and Barbados remain central to the whisky, while a small portion of ex-Oloroso casks and local ex-cherry wine casks adds extra depth. The result is a fruit-led Mackmyra with gentle spice and a richer sweet edge. The casks used are between 8 and 12 years old, giving the whisky a mature feel without carrying an age statement on the label.
