Château Rieussec 2019 is the Grand Vin of the estate, a sweet white Sauternes from Bordeaux and a Premier Cru Classé in the 1855 classification of Sauternes and Barsac. The property lies between Fargues and Sauternes and has belonged to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite since 1984.
The 2019 vintage was shaped by careful selection. The humidity around the Ciron and Garonne encouraged the development of noble rot, yet the harvest demanded precision in the vineyard. Only well-botrytised grapes were chosen for the Grand Vin. The blend is 89% Sémillon, 9% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle, fermented in new oak barrels and matured for 24 months.

Rieussec is a 1er Grand Cru Classé de Sauternes et Barsac from the 1855 classification and has belonged to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite since 1984. Its vineyards lie in the Sauternes area where the humidity associated with the Ciron and Garonne is important for the development of Botrytis cinerea, the noble rot that gives this style its concentration.

Château Rieussec 2021 comes from one of Bordeaux's classic sweet wine landscapes: Sauternes. The estate sits on the border of Fargues and Sauternes, where the influence of the Ciron and Garonne helps the development of noble rot. That patient, selective work in the vineyard is central to the style, bringing natural sweetness, concentration and aromatic depth.
The 2021 vintage was anything but straightforward. Frost, rain and unsettled weather kept yields low, before September mist and rain encouraged a gradual spread of botrytis. Harvesting was done by hand in several selective passes, up to four in total. The final blend is 94% Sémillon and 6% Sauvignon blanc, with parcels pressed and vinified separately, followed by around 18 months of ageing in barrel.

R de Rieussec 2022 is the dry white side of Château Rieussec, a Bordeaux Blanc from a property far better known for Sauternes. Since 1984 the estate has belonged to Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite, and this cuvée draws part of its identity from vineyards linked to that Sauternes setting, while presenting itself as a dry, still white wine.
The 2022 blend combines sauvignon blanc and sémillon. Sauvignon blanc keeps the wine fresh, citrus-driven and aromatic, while sémillon adds shape, roundness and texture. The cellar work follows the same idea of contrast: part stainless steel for clarity and freshness, part barrel fermentation and ageing on lees with bâtonnage for a broader mouthfeel.
