Ballade De La Pointe 2022 is the second wine of Château La Pointe in Pomerol, on Bordeaux's right bank. It is a red French wine shaped mainly by Merlot, with Cabernet Franc playing a supporting role through freshness and floral detail.
The 2022 blend is 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc, sourced from Château La Pointe's 23-hectare estate. The vineyards include gravelly, stony, clay-gravel and sandy soils over clay or gravel, and the estate works with an environmentally conscious approach. Vinification follows traditional Bordeaux methods, with parcel-by-parcel work at estate level.
This vintage came after a very mild winter, even flowering and a hot, dry summer. Rain at key moments helped the grapes continue ripening, and harvest began early, with (…)Chateau La Pointe 2019

Chateau La Pointe 2019
Very last one in stock!
Château La Pointe 2019 is the estate's first wine from Pomerol, on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The blend is led by Merlot at 76%, supported by 24% Cabernet Franc, so the wine carries the ripe, rounded feel of Merlot while keeping the aromatic lift, floral detail and structure brought by Cabernet Franc.
The 2019 vintage adds an important layer to the story. A cooler spring was followed by a hot, dry summer, then September rain helped ease water stress and refine the tannic structure. The estate describes a healthy harvest, free from botrytis, with thick skins and ripe pips the kind of raw material that supports depth without losing freshness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Château La Pointe sits naturally among the more serious Pomerol selections: a (…)Chateau La Pointe 2020

Chateau La Pointe 2020

Chateau La Pointe 2020 is the grand vin of Château La Pointe, a dry red wine from Pomerol in Bordeaux. The 2020 blend is built around 76% merlot and 24% cabernet franc, bringing together ripeness, volume and the freshness that was specifically noted for this vintage at the estate.
The estate covers around 23 hectares in Pomerol, with vineyard parcels spread across gravel and pebble soils, clay-gravel sections and sandier areas over clay or gravel. That parcel-by-parcel approach is central to the wine. In 2020, extraction was kept gentle, with the aim of preserving balance, fine tannins and lift.
The growing season was marked by a wet winter and spring, followed by a hot, dry summer. Water reserves in the soil helped the vines through the drought, while (…)Chateau La Pointe 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau La Pointe 2020 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château La Pointe 2020 Magnum is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux in a 1.5 litre bottle. The magnum indication refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée, so this is the same Château La Pointe 2020 presented in a more generous format. It is a bottle with real presence at the table, especially when wine is part of the occasion rather than an afterthought.
The 2020 blend is 76% Merlot and 24% Cabernet Franc. Since the 2019 vintage, Château La Pointe has increased the share of Cabernet Franc to bring more aromatic intensity and tension to the wine. The growing season in 2020 was marked by contrast: water reserves from winter and spring, a warm dry summer, and September rain that helped refresh the vines before harvest.
In the cellar, (…)Chateau La Pointe 2021

Chateau La Pointe 2021

Château La Pointe 2021 is the grand vin of Château La Pointe, from Pomerol on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The estate takes its name from the pointed, almost triangular shape of its vineyard, a 23-hectare domaine within the Pomerol appellation. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Bordeaux we like to present for its sense of place and its measured, precise style.
The 2021 blend is 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc. It was a demanding vintage in Pomerol, shaped by April frost, spring and early summer rain, and significant mildew pressure. Château La Pointe responded with careful vineyard work, strict grape selection and gentle extraction, keeping the tannins fine. The wine was made in a traditional Bordeaux manner, with ageing in French oak barriques (…)Chateau La Pointe 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau La Pointe 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Château La Pointe 2021 Demi is the half-bottle format of Château La Pointe's first wine, a red Pomerol from Bordeaux. The word Demi refers to the 37.5 cl bottle size, not to a separate cuvée. The blend is led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc in support, giving it a clear Right Bank identity.
The 2021 vintage called for careful work. Frost in April, a wet spring and early summer, and a smaller crop meant that selection and timing mattered greatly. In the cellar, the château focused on gentle extraction to keep the tannins refined, followed by maturation in French oak barriques in a style where the oak is described as discreetly integrated.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly useful way to enjoy Pomerol: a serious wine (…)Chateau La Pointe 2021 Magnum (1,5l)

Château La Pointe 2021 in magnum is a Pomerol built around precision and finesse. It comes from Château La Pointe's own 23-hectare vineyard in Pomerol and is made from 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc. The style described for this vintage is fresh, elegant and energetic rather than heavy.
The 2021 growing season asked a great deal from the estate, with April frost, mildew pressure and the need for strict grape selection. In the cellar, the emphasis was on careful, gentle extraction to keep the tannins refined. The oak influence is described as discreet and well integrated, supporting the wine without taking the lead.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this magnum stands out as a thoughtful Bordeaux choice: a recognised Pomerol estate, a demanding vintage (…)Chateau La Pointe 2022

Chateau La Pointe 2022

Château La Pointe 2022 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux's Right Bank and the grand vin of the estate. Merlot leads the blend, supported by cabernet franc, giving this wine a clearly Pomerol identity. The 2022 growing season was warm and very dry, yet the estate describes musts with richness, balance and good acidity.
The fruit comes from Château La Pointe's 23 hectares of vineyard on the terraces of the Isle, with gravel, rolled pebbles, clay-gravel and sandy soils over clay or gravel. For this vintage, the wine was made with traditional vinification, gentle extraction and 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels, partly new and partly one-wine barrels. That measured approach suits a concentrated year: the wine is described as ripe and generous, while still (…)Chateau La Pointe 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau La Pointe 2022 Magnum (1,5l)
In stock
Château La Pointe 2022 Magnum presents Pomerol in a generous 1.5-litre bottle, with the calm confidence one expects from a well-regarded Right Bank Bordeaux estate. The 2022 blend is led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, and the available tasting impressions point to a wine with freshness, structure and aromatic lift rather than sheer weight.
The growing season gives this vintage much of its story. A very mild winter brought early growth, flowering was quick and even, and the summer turned warm and notably dry. According to the château, the vines remained in good condition, helped by a few timely rains and regular morning dew. Harvest began early, with Merlot picked from 5 September and Cabernet Franc continuing until 17 September.
