Arômes de Pavie 2022 is the second wine of Château Pavie, from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. It carries the identity of a well-known Right Bank Bordeaux estate, while being presented in a more approachable form than the grand vin.
For the 2022 vintage, this is a separately identified cuvée from dedicated vineyard land on the limestone plateau south-east of Saint-Émilion. The blend is an even split of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, sourced from vines averaging 53 years of age. Its clay-limestone soils over fossil-rich limestone help explain why the wine is described not only through ripe fruit and concentration, but also through freshness and a chalky mineral line.
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled wooden vats, with (…)Aromes De Pavie 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Aromes de Pavie 2022 Magnum is a red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Château Pavie, offered here in the 1.5 litre format. The 2022 vintage in Bordeaux was shaped by heat, drought and water stress, yet the information available for Pavie points to resilient vines and small, concentrated berries with balance rather than simple ripeness.
The blend is precise and distinctive: 50% merlot and 50% cabernet franc. Fruit comes from 13.5 hectares of production, with vines averaging 44 years of age. Hand harvesting and selection, vinification in temperature-controlled wooden vats, malolactic fermentation in barriques and 18 months of ageing, with 50% new oak, give the wine its serious structure.

Chateau Pavie 2016
On request only
Château Pavie 2016 is the grand vin of Château Pavie in Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux. It is a dry red Saint-Émilion Grand Cru with Premier Grand Cru Classé A status, built on a blend led by merlot, with cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon adding further structure. The fruit comes from the estate's own vineyards, where the average vine age for this vintage is stated at 48 years.
The character of this wine is closely tied to Pavie's varied terroir. Part of the estate lies on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, while other parcels sit on the south-facing Côte de Pavie and at the foot of the slope on sandier, clay-sand and gravelly soils. The 2016 growing season gave the estate a wet and changeable spring, followed by a long warm, (…)Chateau Pavie 2016 Magnum (1,5l)

Château Pavie 2016 Magnum is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Émilion, presented in a 1.5-litre bottle. The format is not a separate cuvée, but it gives this already serious Bordeaux a particularly impressive presence. For this vintage, Château Pavie carried Premier Grand Cru Classé A status, placing the wine firmly among the most closely followed names of Saint-Émilion.
The 2016 blend is 60% merlot, 22% cabernet franc and 18% cabernet sauvignon. Its fruit comes from Château Pavie's own terroirs around Saint-Émilion, including the limestone plateau, the south-facing Côte de Pavie and the lower pied de côte with sandier and gravelly soils. The château lists the average vine age for this vintage at 48 (…)
