Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 is a dry red wine from Rutherford in Napa Valley, made from estate-grown fruit at Inglenook. Cabernet Sauvignon is firmly at the centre of the blend, accounting for 95%, with small proportions of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot completing the wine. The fruit comes from organically farmed parcels on the Inglenook Estate, including Chateau, Cohn, Creek, Gate, Gio, La Lomita, Lower Cask, Red Barn and Walnut.
There is a strong sense of estate history behind this bottle. Inglenook presents this Cabernet Sauvignon as a tribute to John Daniel Jr., linked to the renowned Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 1941, and to the Bordeaux cuttings brought to the estate by founder Gustave Niebaum. Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 is the estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Inglenook in Rutherford, Napa Valley. It is not the Rubicon cuvée, but a wine built around the estate's own Cabernet identity. The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc, sourced from nine separate vineyard blocks on the Inglenook Estate.
The 2019 growing season began with a wet winter and a cool spring, followed by warmer conditions in August and September. That allowed the different blocks to ripen gradually and be picked in sequence, from Cabernet Franc in Gate through to Cabernet Sauvignon in Red Barn. It gives the wine a clear estate-driven foundation while keeping the focus firmly on Rutherford Cabernet.

Inglenook Rubicon 2018 is the flagship red wine of Inglenook from Rutherford in Napa Valley. Produced since 1978, Rubicon represents the estate's Bordeaux-inspired blend, led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a small proportion of Petit Verdot.
The fruit comes from several Inglenook estate blocks, including Apple, Bridge, Cask, Cohn, Creek, Gio, Lower Garden and Walnut. That makes Rubicon a broader expression of the estate rather than a wine built around one single vineyard section. It spent 18 months in French oak before being bottled in June 2020.
