Château Cantenac Brown 2019 in magnum is a classic Margaux from the Left Bank mould, led by 68% Cabernet Sauvignon with 32% Merlot completing the blend. This is the château's grand vin, from a Troisième Grand Cru Classé of the 1855 classification, and in 2019 it accounted for 51% of the estate's total harvest.
The appeal of this vintage lies in the way ripeness and selection come together. Harvesting was spread across several weeks, from Merlot beginning on 18 September through to Cabernet Sauvignon picked until 9 October. Decisions were made plot by plot, with manual and optical sorting used to keep the selection precise.
Maturation took place for 18 months in French oak barriques, 60% new and 40% one year old. That ageing gives the (…)Chateau Cantenac Brown 2020

Château Cantenac Brown 2020 is the grand vin of this classified Margaux estate in the Médoc. The blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, with 67% cabernet sauvignon and 33% merlot, and only 51% of the harvest was selected for the final wine. That selectivity is an important part of the story here: this is the château's main wine, shaped around concentration and precision.
The 2020 vintage brought lower yields and concentrated fruit. In response, the château fermented at temperatures 4 to 5 °C lower than usual, aiming to preserve fruit aromatics and avoid pushing extraction too far. Maturation took place in French oak barriques, 60% new and 40% one-year-old, giving the wine structure without losing the freshness that marks the year.

Château Cantenac Brown 2021 is the grand vin of the estate in Margaux-Cantenac, a red Bordeaux from Margaux and a Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. The 2021 blend is firmly Cabernet-led, with 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, giving the wine its structured Margaux frame while retaining the rounder contribution of Merlot.
The vintage itself is an important part of the story. The château describes 2021 as a demanding growing season, with cold weather in late April and a wet early summer. Careful vineyard work followed, including early manual leaf removal, a second leaf removal in August and green harvesting. The later dry, cool and sunny harvest period was especially beneficial for Cabernet Sauvignon, helping explain the wine's combination (…)Chateau Cantenac Brown 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

The estate is part of the 1855 Grand Cru Classé classification. For the 2021 vintage, the blend is 73% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Merlot, with 51% of the harvest selected for this wine. That selection gives the wine its place as the château's principal red rather than a broad, general bottling.

Château Cantenac Brown 2022 is the grand vin of this Margaux estate, classified as a Troisième Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Cabernet Sauvignon clearly forms the backbone of the blend, supported by Merlot, with fruit from the estate's vineyards on the Margaux and Cantenac plateaus.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by abundant sunshine and limited water reserves. In the vineyard, the estate responded with careful canopy and soil management, while in the cellar the approach remained measured: lower fermentation temperatures and gentle extraction to keep the fruit's phenolic depth without forcing the wine.
Ageing in French barriques, partly new and partly one year old, adds depth while keeping the Margaux origin in focus. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we (…)Chateau Cantenac Brown 2022 Demi (37,5cl)
