Chateau Figeac 2016
On request only
Château Figeac 2016 is the grand vin of Château-Figeac from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. What immediately sets it apart within Saint-Émilion is the blend: 38% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot and 26% cabernet franc. With the two cabernet varieties forming the majority, this is a Saint-Émilion with a distinctly structured, mineral and fresh profile rather than a purely merlot-led expression.
That identity is closely tied to the estate's position on the western edge of Saint-Émilion, near Pomerol. Its deep Günz gravel ridges, with quartz and flint over blue clay, help explain the important role of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc in the wine. The 2016 growing season brought a wet, mild winter, a cool spring and then a sunny, dry (…)Chateau Figeac 2016 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Figeac 2016 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château Figeac 2016 Magnum has the quiet authority of a serious Saint-Émilion in a generous 1.5 litre format. This is the grand vin of Château Figeac, not a separate cuvée, but the 2016 vintage presented as a magnum. The vintage is described through a very classical Bordeaux lens: ripe fruit, freshness, structure and a clear mineral line.
Figeac's identity within Saint-Émilion comes through strongly in the blend: 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot and 26% Cabernet Franc. That relatively prominent Cabernet Sauvignon component is a hallmark of the estate and is linked to its gravel-rich soils, with underlying clay, silex and quartz. The grapes were hand-harvested over a long picking window from 23 September to 20 October, then vinified by (…)Chateau Figeac 2019 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Figeac 2019 Demi (37,5cl)
In stock
Château Figeac 2019 Demi is the grand vin of Château Figeac from Saint-Émilion, offered here in the 37.5 cl half-bottle format. The word demi refers only to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée. It is the same red Bordeaux from one of Saint-Émilion's leading estates, now classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé A since the 2022 classification.
The 2019 blend says a great deal about Figeac's identity: 30% merlot, 36% cabernet franc and 34% cabernet sauvignon. That strong cabernet presence sets it apart from many wines of Saint-Émilion. Together with the estate's gravel ridges, quartz, flint and blue clay, it supports the wine's freshness, structure, graphite-like mineral edge and capacity for long ageing.

Chateau Figeac 2020 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Figeac 2020 Demi is the grand vin of Château Figeac in a 37.5 cl half-bottle. The word Demi refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée, so this is the same Saint-Émilion red in a smaller format. At the release of the 2020 vintage, Figeac was still classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé B, before being elevated to Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the 2022 classification.
One of the defining features of Figeac is its blend. The 2020 is made from 37% merlot, 32% cabernet franc and 31% cabernet sauvignon, a composition that sets it apart from many more merlot-led wines from Saint-Émilion. The vineyards lie on deep gravel ridges with quartz and flint over clay, a setting that ties in closely with the graphite-like, (…)Chateau Figeac 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Figeac 2021 Demi (37,5cl)
In stock
Château-Figeac 2021 Demi is the grand vin of Château-Figeac from Saint-Émilion, offered here in a 37.5 cl half-bottle. It is the same 2021 wine, simply in a smaller format, well suited to opening a serious Bordeaux when a full bottle is more than you need. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly characterful Saint-Émilion, especially now that only the last bottles remain.
What sets Figeac apart is the unusually strong role of the cabernets. The 2021 blend is 40% cabernet sauvignon, 31% cabernet franc and 29% merlot, reflecting the estate's gravel ridges over clay on the western side of Saint-Émilion, close to Pomerol. The grapes were hand-harvested, vinified traditionally by individual plot with gravity flow, and matured in (…)Petit Figeac 2020

Petit Figeac 2020
In stock
Petit Figeac 2020 is the second wine of Château Figeac in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, made from fruit grown on the estate itself. Since the 2012 vintage it has carried the Petit Figeac name, referring to a historic lieu-dit within the property. It is therefore closely tied to the Figeac estate rather than presented as a separate vineyard wine.
The 2020 blend is led by merlot at 71%, with 19% cabernet franc and 10% cabernet sauvignon. Compared with the grand vin, this vintage places more emphasis on merlot, while still remaining firmly rooted in the same Saint-Émilion origin. Figeac lies on the western side of Saint-Émilion, close to Pomerol, with gravel ridges containing flint and quartz over blue clay. That setting is part of what gives cabernet (…)Petit Figeac 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Petit Figeac 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Petit Figeac 2020 is the second wine of Château-Figeac in Saint-Émilion, presented here in a 1.5 litre magnum. The larger bottle format suits a wine that is already designed to be more approachable than the grand vin, while still having room to develop further in bottle.
The name Petit-Figeac has been used for the estate's second wine since the 2012 vintage. The fruit comes from Château-Figeac's own vineyards on the western side of Saint-Émilion, close to Pomerol. In 2020 the blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon. That makes an interesting contrast with the estate's well-known gravel ridges with flint and quartz over blue clay, a soil profile that helps explain the important role of cabernet varieties at (…)Petit Figeac 2022

Petit Figeac 2022
In stock
Petit Figeac 2022 is the second wine of Château-Figeac in Saint-Émilion, produced from grapes grown on the estate's own vineyards. The name Petit Figeac has been used since the 2012 vintage; before that, the estate's second wine was known as Grange Neuve de Figeac. It remains closely connected to the grand vin, while being described in the available notes as lighter and more approachable at an earlier stage.
The 2022 vintage adds an important layer to the story. Harvest took place from 1 to 26 September, the earliest harvest in the estate's history under the Manoncourt family. In a year marked by early, sustained heat and drought, Château-Figeac worked with gentle extraction, lower fermentation temperatures, no pigeage and a more infusion-led approach to (…)Petit Figeac 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Petit Figeac 2022 Demi (37,5cl)
In stock
Petit-Figeac 2022 is the second wine of Château-Figeac in Saint-Émilion, presented here in the half-bottle format of 37.5 cl. That makes it a particularly appealing choice when you want to open a serious Bordeaux without committing to a full bottle.
It is not a separate parcel wine. Petit-Figeac is selected during the blending process, at the same time as the grand vin of Château-Figeac. All grapes come from the estate, and the 2022 blend is 58% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 21% Cabernet Sauvignon. That significant presence of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon is an important part of the Figeac identity within Saint-Émilion.
The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, with an early harvest running from 1 to 26 September. The estate (…)Petit Figeac 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Petit Figeac 2022 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Petit Figeac 2022 Magnum shows the Château-Figeac style from Saint-Émilion in a generous 1.5 litre bottle. It is the estate's second wine, made exclusively from grapes grown at Château-Figeac. Rather than being a separate single-plot wine, it comes from a specific selection made during the blending process alongside the grand vin.
The 2022 blend is 58% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, giving this vintage its own shape and a higher proportion of Merlot than the first wine of Château-Figeac. The grapes were harvested by hand between 1 and 26 September in a year marked at the estate by early, sustained heat and drought. Château-Figeac describes careful vineyard work aimed at preserving freshness in both soil and fruit.
