Edinburgh Gin Seaside Coastal Dry

Edinburgh Gin Seaside Coastal Dry takes its cue from the Scottish shoreline. Rather than leaning into a heavy or overly sweet style, it captures a fresher coastal mood, built around selected seaside botanicals and the feeling of a brisk walk beside the sea.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of gin we like to point out when someone wants a Gin & Tonic with a clear sense of place. Its maritime freshness, herbal edge and citrus lift give it a distinctive identity while keeping the dry gin character firmly in view.
Serve it with tonic, lemon thyme and a slice of lemon to bring out that bright, ocean-fresh side of the gin.
The aroma opens with a fresh, salty sea-air impression. Seaweed, sea salt and coastal sage shape the maritime (…)Edinburgh Gin

Edinburgh Gin
In stock
Edinburgh Gin is the distillery's classic 43% expression, a Scottish gin built around 14 carefully selected botanicals and distilled in copper stills. Its style is about clarity rather than excess: fresh botanical notes, gentle spice, citrus lift and floral accents are all given room to speak.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see it as a well-made choice for a classic Gin & Tonic, while still having enough botanical detail to serve as a serious base for more refined cocktails. Juniper remains recognisable, supported by coriander, lavender, chamomile and bright citrus peel.
The charm lies in its clean and measured character. Edinburgh Gin feels classic, but not plain, with a refreshing length that makes it particularly useful for mixing without losing its own (…)Edinburgh Gin Small Batch Cannonball Navy Strength

Edinburgh Gin Small Batch Cannonball Navy Strength

Edinburgh Gin Small Batch Cannonball Navy Strength is a gin with real presence. Its inspiration comes from the Royal Artillery soldiers once stationed in Edinburgh, known by the nickname The Cannonballs, and that bold reference suits the 57.2% strength and spicy aromatic style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a gin for serves where intensity matters. It has the backbone for a powerful Martini, yet it also works with a quality tonic when you want a refreshing gin and tonic that still keeps its character.
Citrus brightness, peppery lift and classic juniper give Cannonball a clear identity. It is direct, energetic and deliberately robust, without losing the freshness that makes a good gin so enjoyable.
The aroma opens with a burst of (…)Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger

Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger
| 1 review
In stockEdinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger is built around a lively contrast: the distinctive taste of Scottish rhubarb and the warming bite of ginger. It is a bold style of gin, but the freshness of the rhubarb keeps it bright and well held together.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we like this bottle for drinkers who want a Gin & Tonic with a little more aromatic lift than the classic route. The rhubarb gives it a crisp, tangy line, while the ginger brings a spicy warmth that also works well in mixed drinks.
Serve it as a Gin & Tonic with a slice of ginger and a piece of rhubarb, or use it when a cocktail could benefit from a fresher, spicier accent.
The aroma is fresh and lively, with clear notes of crisp rhubarb and freshly grated ginger. A (…)Edinburgh Gin Elderflower & Gooseberry

Edinburgh Gin Elderflower & Gooseberry
In stock
Edinburgh Gin Elderflower & Gooseberry is a Scottish gin with a distinctly summery British garden feel. Elderflower brings the fragrant, floral side, while gooseberry adds a green, tangy freshness. The result is aromatic and refreshing, with a bright fruit-and-flower character rather than a heavy or sweet impression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a gin for drinkers who enjoy a fresh, botanical style with a clear seasonal mood. The elderflower gives lift and perfume, the gooseberry keeps it crisp, and the gin character remains present through a subtle juniper note.
It is especially well suited to a gin and tonic with fresh berries as a garnish. Served that way, its garden-like freshness comes forward beautifully on sunny afternoons.
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about gin
What is gin?
Gin is a spirit distilled from neutral alcohol, to which juniper and other botanicals (herbs, spices and fruits) are added. Juniper berry is mandatory: without it, it cannot officially be called gin.
What is the difference between gin and gin?
Although they are related, there is a distinct difference. Jenever is the traditional Dutch/Belgian variety, often malty and fuller in flavour. Gin is lighter, fresher and mostly more focused on herbs and citrus.
What types of gin are there?
- London Dry Gin: the most classic and sleek style, with no added sugars.
- Plymouth Gin: a protected designation of origin, a little softer and earthier.
- Old Tom Gin: slightly sweeter, often used in historic cocktails.
- New Western or Contemporary Gin: more modern style in which juniper is less dominant and other botanicals play the main role.
How strong is gin?
Usually between 37.5% and 47% alcohol, depending on brand and style.
Where does gin originally come from?
Its roots are in the Low Countries, with gin being its forerunner. British soldiers took the idea to England, where gin became a huge hype in the 18th century.
What are botanicals?
These are the herbs, spices and fruits that give gin its flavour. Besides juniper, you often see coriander seed, angelica root, citrus peel, cinnamon, cardamom, lavender and more.
What gin do you use for a gin tonic?
It depends on your taste. A classic London Dry goes well with a neutral tonic, while a more floral gin can shine with a spicy or fruity tonic. Garnish (lemon, cucumber, rosemary, ...) finishes it off.
Which gin is suitable for drinking pure?
More and more premium gins are smooth and complex enough to drink pure or with a little ice. New Western styles and special cask-aged gins are particularly interesting to taste this way.
What is the difference between gin and vodka?
Both are neutral distillates, but with gin, botanicals are co-distilled or added, giving the drink much more flavour and character.
What is pink gin?
This is gin that has a pink colour, usually due to the addition of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, ...). Often also slightly sweeter in taste and popular in refreshing mixed drinks.
How do you use gin in cocktails?
Gin is hugely versatile and can be used for much more than just a gin & tonic. Well-known cocktails include the Negroni, Martini, Tom Collins, French 75 and Aviation.
The spicy base of gin makes it pair well with citrus, bitters and sparkling wine.
